Introducing ProSense: An Adsense Ready SEO Wordpress Theme

prosense-adsense-ready-seo-wordpress-theme.gifI am pleased to announce the release of Prosense, an Adsense Ready SEO Wordpress theme that is jointly designed by myself and Daniel from The Wrong Advices. A clean looking theme that reeks of professionalism and style, ProSense is created with optimal monetization, web usability and search engines in mind.

This fast loading and easily customizable theme is built to accommodate heavy contextual ad monetization: Its very infrastructure is designed to direct maximum attention to Adsense ads while preserving as much focus as possible on your blog content.

Featuring built-in ad units with optimized placement and blending, ProSense’s broad design scheme makes it easily suitable for a wide variety of niche topics or content types.

A Guide to the Prosense Theme Features

Prosense was created with the aim of including several features which we knew most bloggers would find useful. One of these is the freedom to choose which type of ad units should be automatically displayed.

While designed to effortlessly incorporate a large amount of Adsense ads, ProSense allows you to have complete control over the amount of ads displayed and therefore is even suitable for bloggers who are not seeking to heavily monetize their blogs.

Here are some of the theme features, some of which are currently exclusive to ProSense:

• Separate and Distinct Ad Blocks. The use of distinct theme files for ad codes allows for easy editing and insertion of Adsense units. These ad blocks can also be used to insert other types of advertisements as well and are not solely limited to Adsense use.

• Multiple Ad Display Options. Unlike other Adsense Ready themes, ProSense allows you to choose between either banner or rectangle ads for the single post page, thus allowing you more flexibility when it comes to ad blending.

• Hassle-free convenience and ease of use. You’ll only have to insert your Adsense publisher ID in the default ad units and you’re done. It should only take a minute or two to set up ProSense perfectly.

• Integrated Ad placement on the homepage. Unlike most Adsense ready themes currently available, ProSense blends a 468 x 60 banner unit between the second and third post on the blog homepage.

This enables you to display relevant ads to search visitors who arrive at your homepage, as they are more likely to scroll and scan through your posts. The inclusion of a well-blended horizontal link unit near the top of the homepage also attracts navigational-style visitor clicks.

• Highly Optimized Ad units on post pages. There are two types of ad blocks on both the top and bottom of the single post page. You can choose between using a 468 x 60 banner and 300 x 250 rectangle at the top of the post or a 468 x 60 banner and 336 x 280 large rectangle at the bottom of the post.

The ability to designate and match different ad units is exclusive to ProSense and is currently not available for other Adsense Ready themes.

• Pre-blended Adsense unit colors. All Adsense unit colors are tweaked to match the blog’s link and background colors. There is absolutely no need for you to spend time picking the appropriate ad colors.

• Search Engine Optimized site structure. ProSense is built from good, clean code that validates well. The CSS positioning is written so that your blog content is prioritized in the source code as this may help to improve search engine crawling and ranking. Dynamic and descriptive title tags are also used for each blog page.

• Compatible with Wordpress 2.0+. ProSense has been tested with the latest 2.2 Getz version of Wordpress and no problems were experienced.

• Widget-Ready. If you’re a widget lover, you’ll be happy to know that Prosense allows you to easily install and use widgets to complement your content and advertising scheme.

Important User Notes

Please remember to change the Publisher ID for the default Adsense units after you upload the theme! You’ll need to insert your personal Adsense publisher id (e.g. pub-xxxxxx) in the various Adsense units that you decide to use.

All the ad units are found in the following theme files:

Single Post Pages:

• adsense_singlepost_top_square.php - 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle
• adsense_singlepost_top_banner.php - 468 x 60 Banner
• adsense_singlepost_bottom_square.php - 336 x 280 Rectangle
• adsense_singlepost_bottom_banner.php - 468 x 60 Banner

Homepage:

• adsense_sidebar.php - 160 x 600 Skyscraper
• adsense_homepage_linkunit.php - 468×15_4 Link Unit
• adsense_homepage_banner.php - 468 x 60 Skyscraper

For those you would prefer a different color scheme, we’ve also provided Prosense in a clean blue or gray color combination so feel free to download these versions if they find them more to your liking.

• Looks good Maki! I might use this in the future for developing my niche domains.

• Very good ad placement and blending! Nice one…

• Cool, thanks for sharing Maki

• Hey Maki,

This looks great, very nice and clean. We were just looking for a new theme for a new blog we’re launching.

Thanks!

Have an awesome day!
Dan & Jennifer

• looks nice.

• Maki,
I like the template, just I need more widget to be included such summary page, translation page, social bookmarking.. can you include all those too? I will definite downloaded.. Thank you

• You and Dan did a great job. Looks good. And looks like it will be effective.

• I’ve been looking for a new theme, and this is great. Thanks!

Best wishes

Angela

• Great theme! One thing though. I uplaoded it to me WP and made it the current theme, but the dark header and footer are not showing. I can’t see them in the Demo page either. Any ideas?

Oh, turns out I can see it on IE. The problem is on FireFox.

• Putting Big Square units and Sidebar will distract users. Bes is to separate out adunits with some reasonable distance. Sidebars doesnt yield so much of money unless they are laid around the content. Best is to push them down the line and arranged along with the content. But then this will work for long posts.

The best part is the blending option. Very well made.

• Pbanker on May 18th, 2007

i like it! any possibility of releasing a blue themed version?

• Maki on May 18th, 2007

Ashish,

As I’ve mentioned in the post.. you don’t have to put up the square or sidebar units if you don’t want to. You can just leave the theme files for the ad codes empty and nothing will show up. Or you can choose to use the less obtrusive banner ads, which blend quite well with the content as well.

Pbanker,

It won’t be too difficult to create with a blue version of the theme. I’ll see what I can come up with :)

Tien

I’ve just tested the theme with a blog on both Firefox and IE. The brown header and footer do show up like the demo. Could you let me know what exactly is not working for you at the moment?

• Nice clean design. Of course since the color fits in with my blog’s name, this theme is very tempting.

• Hi

Nice theme, but I would definitely remove the sidebar unit from the default theme, as it will improve the overall CPM of the site because of Google Smart Pricing.

I would also use blue links rather than orange as these always work better.

EB

• Good!.. Its a much needed break from the all pervasive TypoXP Reloaded! ;)

• Good!.. Its a much needed break from the all pervasive TypoXP Reloaded! ;)

If it ain’t broke….

• thanks for your effort! I am using it now :)

If it ain’t broke….

It definitely not!. Just that it is breeding too many.

• true- there are even variants of it now

• Pretty cool theme! Thanks for the effort you put into this..

• Looks like a great theme. I’m sure I’ll use it for future projects!

• simple and clean.

• Wow. At what point do we officially change the name from the internet to the Makinet? ;-)

Good work, very impressed.

• Dan and you have done a good job. This is will reduce my effort of putting the Adsense block around my site ;-) Neat and professional look, not yet another MFA template. Really cool!

• Maki on May 18th, 2007

Everton,

Thanks for your suggestions. A blue version of the theme will be coming out soon, so hopefully that’ll satisfy some users who prefer the proverbial blue when it comes to hypertext links.

I’ve included the default sidebar ads just in case users don’t want to use the in-content square. I’ve already seen some users only keeping the sidebar ads because they aren’t ready to monetize aggressively. ^-^

• nice… thanks for sharing. this a very useful theme.

• G’day Maki,

Another crackingly good theme, mate!

Can you let me know when you have the blue-links theme available? Cheers!

• Maki - I love this theme and uploaded it for a holiday blog I’ve neglected - it works great - easy to set up and definitely search engine friendly which is hard to find.

Will be spreading the news :-)

• I really like this but I’d like to see the standard WP search box replaced w/ the google adsense one. I do so well off of that.

• Maki on May 19th, 2007

Mike,

I’ve thought of including an Adsense search box but decided to stick with the default one for now. I’ll see if Daniel and I can come up with a widget for the Google Adsense searchbox in the next few theme updates.

• Thanks Maki. This inspired me to come up with a version that I could use for my blog and was clean and not cluttered.

I spent a good 4hrs yesterday and its active now at Online Presence — http://OnlinePresence.BlogSailor.com/

• Yes, what about different colors, or changing the colors?

• Thanks, added this theme to my site; I gave it a blueish color scheme - if you want, you can check it out on my website and tell me how do you like it.

• Cool new theme Maki - I am looking forward to the new color scheme. It would be great if you could make the color changes internal to the theme via the plug-in menu, so that folks don’t have to go in and monkey with the CSS code.

• I use this theme on my blog. I made small changes, changed RSS button and color scheme. Look at :

http://www.drdrksa.info/wordpr.....seo-theme/

• Dusan, I like it. :) I’m thinking of changing the color as well….if I can figure it out.

Thanks for the downloads Maki.

• Chuck on May 23rd, 2007

Every party needs a pooper.

If you create a version where we can replace the adsense with ads for an information product of our own, then we can:
- Keep 100% of the profits
- Have 100% appropriate ads
- Have text in the ad area that helps with ranking instead of hurting it.
- Build our own customer list that we can re-sell to “forever” instead of somebody else’s list.

• Maki on May 23rd, 2007

Chuck,

Actually you can just remove all the Adsense codes in the theme files and insert your own ads and promotional schemes, they will show up in exactly the same spot as the Adsense ads. The theme was built for monetization via Adsense but its flexible enough to accommodate other monetization methods. :)

• Hi Dosh Dosh, I’m trying to download Prosense but it says that the account is suspended?

• Same here Dosh Dosh. Can you provide a secondary download link until the problem is solved with that servage account? Thx!

• I can’t download it either

• Maki on May 24th, 2007

Petra, TechLemming and Doris

Apologies for the download error. It’s been fixed and you can download the themes now. ^-^

The demo URL is not working at the moment but I’m working to get a fix on that ASAP.

• It’s working. Thank you :)

• I hope Dan paid his webhosting bill. LOL! :D

• Looks great! Have put in. Changed pub_id

works well. Thanks a lot. I can see a lot of thought went into this.

• LOL Maki, you must have sent your pal Daniel a ton of traffic til his account got suspended…

http://thewrongadvices.com/ProSense/

“Account Suspended
The account owner has been informed regarding this - in case of questions kindly open a support ticket via the control panel.”

I thought Servage had a lot of bandwidth capacity..according to their marketing. :)

• Anyways, just downloaded it from your site link. Thanks alot!!

• Maki on May 24th, 2007

Hey Darrin,

The demo URL will probably be up in a few hours time. Daniel’s site got dugg pretty heavily yesterday and that’s the reason for the outage at his end. ^-^

Thanks for using the theme!

• Excellent design and layout. I was looking to create another site and I’m planning on using this theme. Thanks for the help! - Mike

• Hello, it seems the demo link isn’t working!
But congrats and thanks for such a wonderful theme…its amazing!!

• Awesome theme - I’m glad I found it. I will be using it on a future blog.

• Looks like a typo left in for the archives title?

./sidebar.php: <li><h2>Archives fs fds fsd sdf d</h2>

• lanmonkey on May 27th, 2007

if you want your pages to validate on w3c.org then edit the file searchform.php and remove the at the end

• lanmonkey on May 27th, 2007

anyway, let me write this out again

I have noticed another problem, if you got to OPTIONS > READING > FRONT PAGE and change the default front page of the site from “your latase posts” to “a static front page” this theme does not see a static page as the front page and the links and metat are not show in the sidebar (sidebar.php)

• Maki on May 27th, 2007

Thanks Ianmonkey and James,

I’ll look into your suggestions and come up with a fix soon.

• Hi,
I have installed this theme, but when I try to setup an RSS feed with feedburner I get this error:

did not return a proper response

Anyone know why this would happen?

thanks

• brazz on May 29th, 2007

Hi,
I loved the theme, was about to use it.
However, I don’t know what the color scheme (of the blue version) is, and I have no knowledge do find it.
Suggestion: create a variable to just change the adsense code, and keep everything as it is.
You would still gain the link back, right?
Thanks,

• Maki on May 29th, 2007

Hi Brazz,

Sorry but I’m not quite sure what you mean. Perhaps you could send me an email and I’ll attend to you directly? You can do this by visiting the ‘Contact’ page on the right sidebar. Hope this helps.

• Hi!

First, I’d like to say that you’ve done a fine job with your Prosense theme. Looks great! Thanx!

I’ve set it up and most eveything is fine right out of the box. BUT … I have an issue with the right sidebar - the content is way down from the top. It only does that with IE not FF.

I also noticed that when there is NO Adsense code in Left Sidebar this isn’t an issue. Only when there is AdSense code or other banner code in left sidebar that the contenet in right sidebar is pushed way down from top.

Any suggestions as to what might be causing this?

Thanx!

Rick Wilson

• Rick, my guess would be that the Adsense code is too wide for the column.

• Thanx for the response, WebStractions!

But that wasn’t it. I’m not that good with CSS (just enough to be dangerous) but I played around with the left sidebar width in the stylesheet and lowered it from 185px to 180px. VOLIA! No more issue! Everything fits now in both sidebars. LOL

I really do need to learn more about site design. heh heh

Rick Wilson

• Maki on May 31st, 2007

Hi Rick,

Glad you got the issue resolved. I checked out your website and it looks great!

Thanks WebStractions for offering some advice as well :)

• I had the same problem when trying to float two columns that were wider than the container they were in. I scratched my head for a couple of hours on that one.

• Hi Maki.. I don’t know why the Archive column has some funny text after the word “archive” .. wondering if you can advise on that:
http://travel.dorischua.com/
Thanks.

• Maki on June 2nd, 2007

Hi Doris,

That was some typos made while testing the theme. The ‘Archive’ section for all the ProSense themes have been fixed and you can download any one of them again. Sorry for the inconvenience. ^-^

• Tetris on June 2nd, 2007

Great theme!

How do I add in a search button one must click instead of having solely a search box?

Also, do you recommend any good plug-ins?

Thanks!

• Tetris on June 2nd, 2007

1 more thing…how do i get rid of the adsense column..and make it only 2 columns?

• Maki
This is wierd, When I looke at the template with ffox its all good but if you take a look of the template in IE then you will see there is a gap on the left window

• Hi,

Im using this theme, however I have a small issue, the adsense adverts on the home page arnt really relevant to my content at all. It seems to be pulling ads related to wordpress, rss, blogs etc.

Any ideas?

• your keywords are probably wrong and also part of the name is same OR you did not setup channels

• recently, i intend to remove adsense from certain blog post, but not all the other posts. Maki, what do you suggest me to do to achieve this? I love your theme & certainly use it for a long time. Thanks for the hard work.

• Maki on June 11th, 2007

KCLau,

I would suggest removing Adsense entirely from the ad blocks in ProSense and then manually inserting the Adsense code in specific posts using a Wordpress plugin like Adsense-Deluxe. This is the only solution if you plan to remove adsense from certain posts but not others.

• Thanks Maki. I think I would have to do that manually.

• Thanks for Sharing Such a wonderful template!

• That looks very well done indeed; I’ve been working on a template myself for use on multiple sites, and while I’ve had a good result with SEO, I’ve not done so well with CTR.
I might try your template for a day and see if it helps!
Regards
- rich

• Thanks, Maki, and Dan,

Am going to try it on my first ever adsense project..haha

• I want ask on June 14th, 2007

Hi,

Anyone tell me :a page adress to free download template which design similar page doshdosh.com

thanks

• darin on June 14th, 2007

How does the user get back to the Home page after reading a blog entry? My previous theme had a Home link always available but I don’t see one for this theme.

• Maki on June 15th, 2007

Darin,

We didn’t build this theme with a Home button so the only way to go back to the homepage is to click on the blog title. Most web users are familiar with this convention but we will take your suggestion into consideration for future themes. Hope this helps!

• So after putting off what was bound to happen, I made the move today from Blogger to WP for one of my blogs and decided to use this theme, which I’ve been keen on since originally seeing it when it was launched.

After a half hour or so of tweaking the theme to how I wanted it, changing the adsense codes and testing it, I set out to move 11,005 total posts from blogger to WP.

The transfer is almost done, the site is resolving the new site now, and everything is working better then I would have thought.

To see the changes I’ve made check out http://www.iLikeCheapStuff.com

Details including the header / footer color changes, pulling out the color from block quotes and unordered lists, removing some adsense, adding some other affiliate links, changing RSS logos and making a custom 404 page to include the google adsense search option, I’m very happy with the results. I plan on tweaking the text in the title tomorrow after some sleep, but wanted to thank everyone at DoshDosh for releasing this.

• After i upload and extract it, why i can’t see it in Presentation panel on wordpress??

• i’m having the same issue

• Maki on June 16th, 2007

Mike,

Thanks for letting us know about your changes. Just wanted to that the theme is distributed through a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareALike 3.0 License and we would prefer it if designer attribution/credit was kept in some way.

• Drnubian on June 16th, 2007

I uploaded it, and its not showing up under my available themes

• Maki on June 16th, 2007

Drnubian,

I have no idea why that’s happening. It works for everyone else. Make sure you upload it to wp-content/themes/Prosense.

• Drnubian on June 17th, 2007

Thanks, do I have to change any other settings after this?

• Drnubian on June 17th, 2007

ok figured it out now , thanks :-)

• Hi Maki, I’m a newbie installing my first WP hosted blog using your theme, and I am struggling a bit to make things work that may be obvious, but not to me! I’ve tried google to no avail. First, to actually get Adense in my posts, what do I need to do? Do I need to use a plug in for this? I know that I have the theme files for them, just not sure what to DO with them! Thanks so much!

• Gianluca on June 17th, 2007

Would it be possible to enable comment also on “Pages” ?

How-To ? I suppose i should insert some code in the single page template file… Any help really appreciated.

Thanks :-)

• To Johny and Dnurbia. It works.
see at my blog at http://www.freelearnjapanese.com
first, i extract prosense-gray.zip on my computer
after that I rename the folder that extracted become “ProSense” not prosense-gray anymore.
(I don’t know wheter it’s case sensitive or not, but i uploaded it to my web which before of it already have “prosense” folder but it didn’t replace it)
After that, I zip it again to other name : “ProSense”
then, I upload it on folder themes like usual.
and now, it comes on my Presentation Panel.

Just try and see if it’s work
Well,it’s work for me on my web : http://www.freelearnjapanese.com

• Gianluca on June 18th, 2007

Ok, as i’ve come across some solutions, i think it would be fair to share them:

Enable commenting on *some* static pages :

In “page.php”, just after “Edit this Entry” part, you add this code :

>>>>>php if ( get_post_custom_values(’comments’) ) comments_template()>>>>>php include(’adsense_xxxxxxxxxx.php’)>>>>php if ( get_post_custom_values(’enable-adsense’) ) include(’adsense_xxxxxxxxxx.php’)

• I like the prosense theme. I am a newbie and having trouble changing the adsense ID. Can you tell me how to do this. I went into theme editor but the adsense ID would not change.

• @Amanda:
it’s simple. as long as you have the access to your hosting panel. (I am using Cpanel)

Via you Hosting Panel, open to the directory of your theme.
There will be a file like this :
adsense_homepage_banner.php
adsense_homepage_linkunit.php
adsense_sidebar.php
adsense_singlepost_bottom_banner.php
adsense_singlepost_bottom_square.php
adsense_singlepost_top_banner.php
adsense_singlepost_top_square.php
edit each of the file and change this line :
google_ad_client = “pub-301543998366xxxx”;
change only pub-301543998366xxxx with your adsense id.
You can find it on google adsense, my account.

• I’ve loved the ProSense template from the beginning but can’t seem to figure out why it went screwy on when the front posts are showing - when it’s on single or page it looks fine but not on the front page. The side bar moved and I can’t find anyone to tell me what went wrong or how to fix it.

I’ve uploaded the original theme without any success in fixing this problem.

Help?

• Hey Tammy, I came across this problem also where it messed up all on the frontpage it was because i had embedded a video that was larger than the width of the column. On the single post pages it was fine but on the front it was not. Check over your templates for items - widgets / videos / images that may push the width of a column to far.

Hope this helps you.

• Oh, my goodness! Thank you - it wasn’t a video it was an amazon code for a book believe it or not. When I took the code out of that post - everything went back the way it was supposed to me. UGH! All that time

Thanks again.

• Maki on June 18th, 2007

@Gianluca,

Sorry for the late reply. If you want to enable comments on Pages, you simply need to tick the ‘Comments’ and ‘Pings’ boxes under the ‘Discussion’ Tab in the right sidebar, when you are on the ‘Write Page’ section of the Dashboard. Is this what you are looking for?

@neomaster

Thanks for sharing your tips with Amanda. Hopefully, this should be enough.

@Amanda

Please feel free to let us know if you’re still unable to change the Adsense ID.

@probloggermom

First of all you’ll need to go to your ‘Theme Editor’ .. on the right side of the theme box are the following themes. Some of them are cut off by the edge of the screen but you should be roughly be able to determine which ad is within each theme file. Click on each of the following files and then change them by inserting your Adsense pub id in this part of the code —>pub-xxxxxx

adsense_singlepost_top_square.php - 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle
adsense_singlepost_top_banner.php - 468 x 60 Banner
adsense_singlepost_bottom_square.php - 336 x 280 Rectangle
adsense_singlepost_bottom_banner.php - 468 x 60 Banner
adsense_sidebar.php - 160 x 600 Skyscraper
adsense_homepage_linkunit.php - 468×15_4 Link Unit
adsense_homepage_banner.php - 468 x 60 Skyscraper

You don’t need a plugin to insert Adsense into the posts. Do let me know if you’re still stuck and I’ll try to help. :)

@Tammy

When that happens, its usually because some code on the sidebars is causing it to go under the posts. Try removing your social widgets and see if that works. Or perhaps you could move them over to the rightmost sidebar to see if it works ok as well. Also.. when did this happen? Was it like this all the while or did it happen only after you’ve inserted some code onto your sidebars?

Let me know me know if it doesn’t work again and I’ll take a more detailed check on your site.

• Maki on June 18th, 2007

Hey Chris,

Just wanted to say thanks for helping out Tammy with the sidebar issue. Much appreciated. :)

• No problem Maki. Just showing appreciation for the blog and the template as i use in one of my dare to say it.. splogs.

Checkout my blog when you got a spare couple of minutes i’d love some pointers.

• Hi Maki, thanks for responding. Yes, I’ve changed the publisher ID’s already. Guess I’m just not sure how to use the code? Do I cut and paste it into my posts? Or is there some place I need to “turn it on” to automatically have it placed in my posts? Like I said, it’s probably something very simple, just want to make sure I’m doing it the “correct” way! Thanks again!

• BTW, I’d love to have the option to have a sidebar on either side also. I saw it mentioned above in another post and just wanted to put in another vote for that feature in the future! ;-)

• OK, I got it! When I look at my home page the ads are not there. When I click on the post itself, they show up. See, I knew it was something simple I was just not getting! Thanks for letting me talk this out to myself and hopefully someone else will learn from it.

• Maki on June 19th, 2007

Hi probloggermom,

Just checked out your site and I must say the theme looks great there! I like how you’ve changed the colors.. The ads appear to be showing on both the homepage and single post pages and nope, you don’t have to turn anything ‘on’ for the ads to show correctly. It seems that you’ve correctly changed the Adsense id as well so I guess you’re all set.

All the best and I hope the theme helps to bring you more money! ^_^

• Thanks Maki!!

• Maki thanks for the comment and heads up on the right sidebar. Maybe its my browser (IE 6.0) but now it shows the widgets further down the page, not at the top of the sidebar, also showing the widgets bleeding into the left sidebar. Last night it looked fine on IE 7.0, so who knows?

• Beautiful template, thanks so much! I installed it and it worked perfectly–all in about 5 minutes.

One thing I want to do is have only the “teaser” for each post display on the home page, rather than the entire post. Then the user can click “more” to go to the single post page. Is that something you can help me configure?

Thanks,
Nicole

Hi Nicole,

You can either use the Post Teaser Plugin or manually insert the “More” Tag within each post. I’m using the Post Teaser plugin for Dosh Dosh. Here’s the link:

Hope this helps!

• Hi Maki,

Thanks to you and Dan for your hard work on this Prosense theme. I’m using it on financial related sites that are in very competitive niches so need the SEO features. I’m just getting underway with posts but looks good so far.
All the best,
David

• Maki -

Thanks for this great template. I’ve deployed it across several sites in the last couple of weeks, and added a few tweaks here and there (mostly for ad optimization). It performs well and looks great. Thanks for a valuable contribution.

• I noticed that the index page doesn’t show relevant Adsense ads, but the other pages do. Do you know why this is?

• The theme doesn’t appear in the theme selector… what’s wrong..?

• @Mathew, yes, me too. but it also depend to your content. I used it at http://www.freelearnjapanese.com

@Claudiomet : Look at Comment no.121
I was having the same problem with you, but it had resolved. See my comment at no 121

• I have used your template.. love it, just have 1 question, does the template violate the rule of google adsense? I heard that you only can have 3 ads per page.. is it true? really appreciate your comment on this..

• @Dani
Hmm, now I understand why not all my adsense showed

• I’m having the same problem as Matthew above (comment 145) - the ads aren’t appearing on the front page in the sidebar, but they’re fine elsewhere. The id code is correct. Any ideas, please?

• Hi Kindly let me know how to change the post title color and font size

• I have activated Prosense today. My site doesn’t validiate valid XHTML.

There is error on line 255 ” “. There is no starting tag of form “.

Let me how can I solve the problem.

By The by, How can I change the permanent link format to
” /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ ”

Regards
Joynal

• You can change permalink by click Menu Option and Permalink.
Don’t forget to change your .htaccess file

• Maki on June 29th, 2007

Dani,

No the template does not violate Adsense TOS. There are only three ads shown on the homepage and on the single post page so it’s perfectly fine. You can also remove any or all of the ads if you don’t want ads on your blog.

Baxter,

I do think it has something to do with the code you put up.. perhaps its a multimedia ad, widget or ad that caused this to happen. This did happen to some others using the theme and I think they fixed it through trial and error.. testing which element causes the shift in ads and then removing it. Hope this helps.

• Don’t forget to change your .htaccess file.
What changes should be done to .htaccess file. I am really having problem with this fact. Please Let me know ASAP Maki. Whenever I change the permanentlink option then my permanent link doesn’t work.

By the by, I have found that my RSS FEED is not working too. What would be solution Maki?

Regards
Joynal

• Just stumbled it, it’s a gold mine :)

• what a great theme… I should download it, thanks.

• Hello,
I’m completely new to Wordpress but have done a lot of research and experimenting with a local MAMP installation before trying to go live. Your theme was the one I liked best out of all the ones I experimented with. Now, however, I’ve gone semi-live (one post, no Adsense ID yet to insert) but for some reason the header and footer are not displaying correctly (they were fine on my local MAMP version). No RSS icon, and no footer at all; just the title but no background at the top. I suspect permissions, but all relevant files seem to be correctly set to 644. Any ideas?

• Maki on July 7th, 2007

Hi Peter,

Looks like the images directory either isn’t there or it could be bad permissions. I’d suggest setting permissions at 777 for the relevant files to see if it works. Do let me know if you still have any problems after doing that. :)

• Just to follow up for other readers: Maki’s suggestions were right on, and fixed the problem immediately. I still don’t quite follow why image files would need permissions beyond 644, but so be it…

• Great theme, have used it on a site http://www.vitacode.com, I’m using some widgets for advertising which fit perfectly.
