MakeThatDollar Review: Get-Paid-to Startup

futakomori1003.jpgMakeThatDollar is yet another get-paid-to website that pays you to complete offers, sign up for trials and fill out surveys. Open to international members, MakeThatDollar pays via E-Gold, money orders, Visa gift cards and Paypal.

What stands out for me, when it comes to this get-paid-to startup is it’s very efficient member support center. The site admin is consistently on AIM Live support and so far, there aren’t any major hiccups concerning their service. The question on everyone’s mind. Does MakeThatDollar pay?

Apparently, they do. Check out this forum page for proofs and testimonials. Let’s take a quick look at how MakeThatDollar works.

MakeThatDollar REVIEW

Like most other get-paid-to websites, you’ll operate through a control panel which gives you the option of completing offers, clicking on advertisements, participating in contests and referring members. The control panel is a little cluttered for my liking but it is functional.

The offers are similar to most other websites but MakeThatDollar stands out because it claims to match any offer you can find elsewhere. If you would like to complete specific offers, you can also make a request for the admin to add it.

I found the monthly and three-day contests to be an effective way to earning some extra income, apart from the usual humdrum of offer completion.

Currently, MakeThatDollar is running a month-long referral and offer contest: Users who get the most referrals or complete the most offers during this period stand to earn a bonus of $50 and $150 respectively.

It might be also be fun if you’re the competitive sort. When you complete any offer, you’ll also stand to earn ‘Silver Dollars’, which are basically reward points you can use to redeem rewards. 2500 points gets you a Nintendo Wii and 50 points earns you a $5 Walmart Gift card.

Verdict

The success of get-paid-to startups like Make That Dollar very much depend on the interaction between site owners and their users.

MakeThatDollar serves as an excellent case study of great two-way communication. Members get their questions answered quickly and site tweaks are constantly being made by the owner to better fit user needs.

While MakeThatDollar is still growing, it does seem to be a worthwhile site to join if you are new to get-paid-to offers: the strong admin support can very helpful if you are inexperienced in this specific industry.

My suggestion would be to try MakeThatDollar to get a feel of how they fit with your needs. Stick with them if you find them to your liking, if not.. you could always try other get-paid-to setups like CashonTap and Cashcrate, two of the better sites around.
