Make Money by Completing Offers - A Review of SnapDollars.

make-money-completing-offers-snapdollars.jpg Update - Several readers of Dosh Dosh have claimed that SnapDollars is a scam. Please see the comments for more information and remember to proceed with caution.

Snap Dollars is a website that pays you complete offers/surveys, play games and read sponsored email. How much can you earn? You’ll get $5 just by signing up, $5 for a referral and up to 20 cents for every email.

Similar to other get-paid-to programs, Snap Dollars is open to users from most countries but U.S and Canada residents would probably receive more paid offers, due to the dominance of North American advertisers. Let’s take a closer look at how you can earn some money with their program.

Snap Dollar’s interface is pretty easy to use. Like many other websites, offer types are divided into categories such as 100% free or trial and credit card required selections. You can also choose to view offers by categories, which range from health and beauty to software.

The type of offers available are almost identical to similar get-paid-to sites like Cashcrate or CashonTap. If you’re familiar with the above sites, you’ll pretty much know what to expect with Snap Dollars.

Love playing solitaire or bejeweled? You have the option of earning some cash by playing these games. The only drawback is that you can’t just play them on their website. Instead, you’ll need to sign up for a separate Cash Games account and play the games on other website, which is a hassle.

According to Snap Dollars, you’ll also need to deposit some money in the account. No thanks. I’ll pass on that.Their pay-to-shop program allows you to shop at over 50 online stores such as Avon, Apple and Western Union. Nothing too fancy. Like most other programs. you’ll get cashbacks of 2 to 3% for each item you purchase.

Snap Dollars will also credit you $5 for each referral, but there’s a catch. They’ll only give you $5 whenever each friend you refer cashes out for the first time. You have the option of sending emails to everyone in your hotmail/yahoo/aol and gmail address books by plugging in your email username and password at their referral control panel.

A word of advice: Don’t do it. Inputing your passwords at their panel just doesn’t seem secure to me. Try emailing each friend one by one through their manual entry panel.

After signing up for an account, I probably received one email every one or two days. I tried clicking on three of them and was credited 9 cents for my efforts.

Typical for a Pay-to-Read program: very little money for very little effort. If you don’t want to receive any emails you can choose to put SnapDollars on your email’s spamlist.

What’s Cool.

  • Support tickets can be easily submitted via the control panel
  • Easy site navigation
  • Ability to earn cashbacks when shopping online

What’s Not.

  • Hassle to set up a seperate pay-to-game account
  • Offers are not unique and can found on other sites.
  • Payment via Check only
  • Little offers for non U.S and Canada residents
  • No forum for discussion and user interaction

Verdict

In terms of profit model, Snap Dollars is the closest to Instant Profitz because they both offer the option of earning cashbacks from online shopping. Snap Dollars stands out from other dedicated get-paid-to websites by adding a small pay-to-read option.

However, the lack of user forum is a major drawback in my opinion. User forums in websites such as Cashcrate and Treasure Trooper are very lively and provide almost immediate support for all sorts of user queries. In a way, an active forum with testimonials legitimates any get-paid-to website.

I would personally suggest CashonTap and Cashcrate as a better means to make money online. As always, you might want to Snap Dollars a trial run to get a feel if their setup is right for you. Sign up link.

I’ve been a Snapdollars member for several months, and I’m not very impressed. There support is horrible, I haven’t been credited for a couple offers in almost 3 months, even though they say it will only take 30 days at most. I have received no useful response from support despite repeated attemtps. I would not recomend wasting your time signing up at Snapdollars.com.

snap dollars is a total scam they dont send you any money and no one ever responds to the customer support its a totall shit site

  • Rodney on March 20th, 2007

Don’t waste you time with Snap Dollars its a scam. They dont send money once you have earned it, and don’t respond to email. This site needs to be reported to the Candaian authorities as it is registered in Ontario.

  • John Bishop on March 27th, 2007

Snap Dollars is a scam!!! I experienced the same as you people, requesting my payment on 12/2/06 and not receiving anything. Well, anyone who knows me knows I don’t take scammers lightly and will go out of my way to put a hurt on these people’s wallets, as they have done with their members.

Personally, I would never put any money into a site like this but there are people who do complete offers and still do not get paid. I had earned over $38 in my account and when I requested payment, needless to say, it was never received.

PLEASE READ THE REST OF THIS—-IMPORTANT******

Since not being able to find a verifiable phone number or address for Snap Dollars, I decided my best approach to expose these scammers was to expose them to their advertisers. Well, apparently this was a great idea because after at least 3 requests guess what…..I GOT A PHONE NUMBER PEOPLE!!!! Apparently Snap Dollars doesn’t want people exposing their scam of not paying their members to their advertisers.

So I got a call today from a “Sean” from Snap Dollars saying he wants to send me my check so I can stop contacting their advertisers!!! I tried to explain to him that my $38 was really not my concern, what about all these other members who have never been paid?

His response was that they cut thousands of checks per month and they pay everyone. When I asked for the check number they supposedly sent in February and the bank he says check number 2559 and the bank is TD Canada Trust. When I asked when it was mailed he got flustered and said “I have to check with accounting”.

When I asked for his last name he repeatedly would not answer then finally says,”Mackey, Sean Mackey”. When I asked him why the phone they were using was a cell phone, and not in an office, his answer was, “Do you want me to send your check or not?”

I advised him that sending me my check is not going to stop me from continuing to work to close them down! SO HERE IT IS PEOPLE…CALL THIS NUMBER….416-995-3629 AND TELL SEAN YOU DIDN’T GET YOUR CHECK EITHER! FEEL FREE,TELL HIM I TOLD YOU TO CALL!!!!

THIS IS A CEL PHONE NUMBER IN CANADA. ASK HIM TO SEND YOUR CHECK AND ASK HIM WHY A BUSINESS HAS A CEL PHONE AND NOT EVEN A BUSINESS LISTING? i WANT TO SEE WHAT HE SAYS TO YOU GUYS? AGAIN,CALL SEAN FROM SNAPDOLLARS AT 416-995-3629 AND REQUEST YOUR MONEY TODAY.(I WOULD APPRECIATE A QUICK EMAIL TO mywifesaidno@aol.com if anyone else talks to this guy, thanks)

  • Larry on April 9th, 2007

Great info John !!!! I’ve had a similar experience with Snapdollars. I have been looking for a way to take them down. What a great idea!! Rest assured, I will be calling “Sean” and definitely be calling the advertisers as well to let them know the kind of scum they are associating themselves with. I’ll let y’all know what I find out.

  • Tried to sign up never even got the confirmation email

  • John Bishop on May 13th, 2007

Well time for an update I guess ey? I GOT A FRIGGIN CHECK!!! I am not going to cash it, of course, but I did get a check for 38.00. My account however still remains disabled. After doing a little more work I decided this company is way to shaky for me to be cashing any checks, even if it is only $38.00.

It appears this Sean guy is the owner, but I am not sure who or what this business has going on, but $38.00 is certainly not going to assure me they are legit and stop me from exposing them as a fraud. The check is actually from an SED Group Inc., with another address in Ontario with a suite I cannot locate.

The phone number there is 866-681-1064 and is just an answering machine without even a company greeting. Apparently, alot of the emails we receive from Snapdollars come out of San Diego,Ca from a company named Abacus America Inc. Snapdollars has never responded to requests for info from the BBB and Abacus America is not registered either and has 262 complaints in the last 36 months.

When I initially received the check a few weeks ago, I had to laugh when I began looking at everything. Remember when I called Sean and he wouldn’t say he was the owner? BUSTED!!! Now riddle me this Batman…….If your the owner of a successful company and someone happens to get you on the phone with a problem, why do you not just say your the owner and deal with the problem and be done with it?

I know, your saying, well HOW did you know,John, what’s up…what happened?….I have a note from Sean saying “sorry he got mad at me, had a bad day” and the signature on the note and FED EX PACKAGE both match the SIGNATURE ON THE CHECK!!!!

I called Sean and advised him I will not cash his check and cannot stop my exposure of them as a scam until every member who was in the same position as myself has been taken care of. He didn’t seem to care for my comment and hung up.

I left a message for him on that 866 number I found, but something tells me he won’t be calling back. Anyway, just wanted to let you know, if you get him, maybe you will get a check.

As for me, I’m putting it in the trash along with Snapdollars.com. Just too many things that don’t make sense if you are a legit co. Avoid the headaches and avoid Snapdollars.com!!!!

  • Maki on May 14th, 2007

Thanks for your detailed comment and information, John Bishop. Much appreciated!

  • No problem Maki. Whether you have come from a poor family and know what it is like to need what money you are promised(like myself) or even if you have money but are just looking for a few bucks on the side, I think we all agree we want to be dealt with honestly and swiftly when there is a problem. Ask 4ecorp.com,WOWearnings.com,Sendearnings.com, and sites such as Snap dollars.com what happens when they try to lie to the wrong people? Sure, they may still be up and running now, but their member bases have all been damaged and if that is the only way we can defend ourselves against these scammers then so be it. DO NOT LET THESE PEOPLE SCARE YOU by telling you they are going to sue you!!!! I have been threatened at least 3 times but they always know by the end of our conversation that going to court would be the last thing they would want to do. I do keep my evidence against anyone I have ever made any accusations against. My word is the truth and I will always have something to back me up. If I am proven wrong I am the first person who will admit it and will gladly make any amends necessary to the offended party. But you know, once you catch people in a lie it’s kind of hard for them to defend it. Anyway, just wanted to say I am glad that I am hopefully helping some people out and if anyone needs any help feel free to request my contact info.

  • Larry on May 14th, 2007

What do ya know, John, I got a check too. I guess Sean got tired of having his cage rattled. I sent an email to MANY of the companies who associate themselves with snapdollars.com explaining the situation and included a link to this page. I also added it to the MANY requests for a reply on smapdollars support contact page letting Sean know what I am doing. I have never recieved a reply (of course) and have never been able to contact Sean or get a reply from him. Yeah, $38 is going to make it all better….yeah right. I’m with you John. Spread the word.

  • Thanks Larry. Much appreciated. When I try to call Sean now he either doesn’t answer the phone or hangs up on me. It just goes to show how people can’t get away with scamming people if we stand up for ourselves and fight back against these so called “business owners”!!! Thanks again and have a great day!!!

  • Stewart on June 1st, 2007

I received a check from them and about 15 days later I get the following email from Sean:

    Subject: IMPORTANT: Payments from SnapDollars
    From: “SnapDollars”
    Hello everyone,

Our bank made an error printing some of our checks that went out in
    March, April and May.

This error caused a SMALL amount to be returned, about 1 in a 100. The
reason for the return was not due to NSF, so your bank should NOT
    charge you for this.

If your bank has returned a check to you, please mail it back to us,
and we will send you a new check, PLUS an added $10 for the
    inconvenience.

    Here is our address:

    SnapDollars.com
    446-283 Danforth Avenue
    Toronto, ON
    M4K 1N2, CANADA

Thanks, and our apologies to those inconvenienced.

  • Which is exactly why I never cashed my check. I was just looking it at the other day wondering how many people received checks like these and then I got the update on this post, so thank you Stewart. First of all, lets see what he is telling you here. “Our bank made an error printing some of our checks that went out in March, April and May.” So THE BANK made an error…..”This error caused a SMALL amount to be returned, about 1 in a 100.” Your kidding right? OK, first, lets say he sent out 100 checks, doubtful, but lets just say 100 checks. I would have to ask this. Why wouldn’t you just contact the person with the problem? I am sorry folks, but if the problem is 1 in 100 I’m guessing your probably not going to be emailing all your members…..”The reason for the return was not due to NSF, so your bank should NOT charge you for this.” Obviously there must have been a customer complaining that they were charged a fee for this check not being good. It’s obvious they were told it’s not the fault of Snap Dollars. I ask this, then, Sean…Why would you not state what the reason was if it “was not due to NSF” Another mystery…..”If your bank has returned a check to you, please mail it back to us,and we will send you a new check, PLUS an added $10 for the inconvenience.” They will probably switch banks and continue to cover their ass until this happens all over again…..We all thank you again for the update Stewart and I would like to see what happens if anyone does send a check back. AND AGAIN STAY FAR AWAY FROM SNAP DOLLARS!!!!

  • Sean on June 11th, 2007

    Hello People,

We send out over a hundred checks a month. Unfortunately, some do get lost in the mail. If you ever have a problem, email me personally sean AT snapdollars.com and I will have it taken care of ASAP.

We are a rapidly growing company, and I have worked on our support team. They should be more efficient and courteous.

John Bishop is upset that he tried to scam us and we did not fall for it. He was sent a check, said he did not receive it when we had proof of delivery. I will no longer respond to him, and have chosen to ignore him.

If anyone would like a copy of the letter from our bank, other than John Bishop, please email sean AT sanpdollars.com. Our bank made errors printing our checks, and some were returned – our bank has apologized.

    Thanks,
    -Sean

  • Sean Yomama on June 19th, 2007

    Sean, you’re a dead man.

  • Sean. You are so full of crap. I have done nothing but been respectful and you have not been able to answer any of my questions. Of course you wouldn’t want to send me a copy of that letter because you know I could very well pick that apart as well, because it was probably drafted by you. I worked in the financial industry for 15 years. Having worked for banks before I can tell you strongly that a bank error in printing checks does not cause checks to bounce! NOT ENOUGH MONEY IN YOUR ACCOUNT IS WHAT CAUSES CHECKS TO BOUNCE! AND HOW COULD YOUR ACCOUNT BE SHORT IF I DIDN’T EVEN CASH MY CHECK? Shouldn’t there have been extra money then? How are checks bouncing when part of what you had outstanding wasn’t even taken? It sucks when you run into someone who knows what they are talking about, huh. If your so legit let’s have a conference call with all of your members on the line and answer my questions in front of everyone. YOU ARE A SCAMMER. YOUR CHECKS ARE AS GOOD AS YOUR COMPANY. IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM PLEASE SUE ME. YOU TOLD ME BEFORE YOU WOULD DO SO BUT WITH ALL THE PAPERWORK I HAVE AGAINST YOU YOUR CASE WOULD BE A JOKE. HOW DID I TRY TO SCAM YOU? PLEASE EXPLAIN. YOU SENT NO CHECK NOR DO YOU HAVE ANY PROOF OF DELIVERY BECAUSE THE ONLY CHECK I RECEIVED FROM YOU WAS AFTER I TALKED TO YOU ON THE PHONE. GOOD THING I WAS SMART ENOUGH NOT TO CASH THAT OR IT WOULD HAVE COST ME MORE MONEY THAN YOU ARE WORTH. I HAVE YOUR BANKS PHONE NUMBER YOU DOLT. I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR PROBLEM AND YOUR SCAM IS.I TALKED TO YOUR BANK. UNLIKE YOURSELF I DO NOT MAKE COMMENTS OR ACCUSATIONS WITHOUT PROOF. SAY I TRIED TO SCAM YOU ONE MORE TIME AND TRUST ME SEAN, YOU AND ANY PARTNERS AND BUSINESSES YOU HAVE WILL BE SUED BY ME. WHY WOULD YOU REFUSE MY REQUEST TO TAPE OUR CONVERSATION AND THEN PROCEED TO HANG UP ON ME IF YOU WERE LEGIT. I WILL BE IN TOUCH AND YOU BETTER WATCH WHAT YOU POST. I HAVE PROOF OF EVERYTHING, ALL YOU DO IS TRY TO TALK YOUR WAY OUT OF CRAP. I SUGGEST YOU CLOSE UP SHOP BEFORE I DO IT FOR YOU. I HAVE ALREADY CONTACTED THE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND IF YOU WANT ME TO CONTINUE WITH MY ONSLAUGHT OF YOUR DISHONESTY AND LEGALNESS OF YOUR ACTIVITIES BRING IT ON. I HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND I DO NOT PLAY GAMES SO ADJUST YOUR ATTITUDE ACCORDINGLY.

  • Sean on June 19th, 2007

Again, if anyone other than John Bishop would like a copy of the letter from our bank, please email sean AT snapdollars.com

The letter also includes bank telephone numbers to verify it, or you can look up the branch and call them directly.

Checks were returned as the account number on them was incorrect, NOT because funds were unavailable. If John can find one person who can prove their check was returned due to NSF, I will send him $1K paypal.

  • Just got off the phone with Sean and advised him any use of my name and scam together will result in a lawsuit against him and his company. Then he posted the prior response. SEAN, YOU CAN’T COVER YOUR EXPENSES NOW AND YOUR GOING TO PAY ME $1000? ONCE A LIAR ALWAYS A LIAR. I will again be contacting your advertisers and letting them know of your business practices until you supply proof of any claims. One thing I’ve found over the years, liars do tend to be cowards.

  • Sean, your too funny. When I called your bank when I initially received your check IN MARCH TO VERIFY FUNDS, the account number was fine. How could they verify anything if I gave them the wrong acct no.? Please try to come up with a reasonable answer and not another bold lie.

  • Sean on June 19th, 2007

We switched to an RBC cross par account, starting with March 1, 2007 checks.

    Still waiting on your fax.

  • Which means you would have had A NEW ACCOUNT NUMBER FOR A NEW ACCOUNT. It should have nothing to do with your old account…..HOW FRIGGIN STUPID DO YOU THINK I AM? I am waiting on a fax myself. Trust me, as soon as I get it you will.

  • Sean on June 19th, 2007

Account numbers were printed wrong with the new account.

I’m taking off for the day, let’s get this sorted out tommorrow John. I admire your drive and what you are doing, but you are wrong here.

  • Sean. I appreciate your response, but between your crappy support and all the other problems that have come up with your company I prefer not to deal with people who can not respond to my questions when they get real. We can sort this out tomorrow, and though I would never do business with you or your company again, if you can prove yourself right I will agree to lay off your advertisers, but your proof better be good and your support better be alot better from here on in. I’ll let you know if I get a fax by tomorrow and if not then hey, I was lied to as well.I hope we can sort this out tomorrow and that you can back up what you say.

  • Sean on June 20th, 2007

Here are the problems I am aware of, and what we have done to fix them. Let me know if you see anything else to add, I’m open to suggestions.

    1. Support Sucks - I have let one support person go, and hired a new one, support should get better. I am also personally handling all payout problems now.

    2. Check Problem - We opened a new account for snapdollars checks, drawn on a US bank so that smaller US banks could easily cash our checks. The bank printed the wrong account number on the checks. This was not our fault, and we have letter from our bank stating so. I have offered to add $10 to anyones check that was returned, plus take care of any returned fees.

  • OK Sean. I am willing to give you a chance. Just remember that if it wasn’t for the way your company treated me along with the rest of your members that got no responses or unhelpful responses from your support, and you had made payments in a timely manner, you wouldn’t be going throgh this right now. With that said here is what I am willing to do. Send me a check to replace the bogus one I have. Once I can verify it is good and be assured there will be no trouble cashing it I will come back here and let everyone know that it is ok now. In addition, I must not see any posts ANYWHERE for at least the next 30 days about anyone having any problems with your support or any problems being paid. This problem did not just stem from me! There were many complaints and many others who just don’t want to complain. I understand businesses sometimes make mistakes. The thing is to own up to and correct your mistakes and not just ignore people and piss people off. Unfortunately, every once in a while, these businesses run into people like me who have lots of experience in how to handle different situations and know what the answers should be before I even ask the question. All we want is to be dealt with honestly and in a timely manner. When this does not happen, trust me(as you know), I don’t take it lightly. I already have 2 other companies reported to the Attorney General that they are looking into and have been personally responsible for closing down at least 10 scam email accounts JUST THIS WEEK. So again, I hope you will offer better service in the future. Send me the check and as I said I will personally post back to here and will even go to other forums to let them know that you are now OK. Sean, I am an honest person. I expect any business to be run the same. I have no problem admitting when I am wrong or correcting any misinformation, but there has to be proof that I am wrong. I will await your check and also want an apology for the lie from your previos comment about me trying to scam you. That was totally uncalled for and totally untrue. After that comment your lucky I am even giving you a chance, but I consider myself a fair person so here is your chance.

  • Sean on June 20th, 2007

John - I admit our support has not been great - I am working on it.

Email me, maybe we can work something out with you handling some of our support - if you are interested.

  • Not interested. There is still no apology and no mention of replacing the bogus check you sent me. Take care of these issues first and maybe I will give you the time to make me an offer. Until these issues are resolved I still consider you not to be trustworthy so let’s just take care of one thing at a time. I have not contacted any of your advertisers recently but that doesn’t mean I will not continue my efforts if you cannot resolve the issues from my previous post. Still waiting on your apology and your check.

  • I have been a member of Snapdollars for a while now. I was clicking on the paid e-mails and have about $13.00 in my account. Then nothing. The e-mails stopped coming and I have tried contacting Snapdollars so many times I lost count and I get no response as to why I don’t get the e-mails anymore.

  • Sean on June 20th, 2007

John - I’ll be happy to send you a paypal. What was the amount of your check, and what is your paypal addy?

About the appology, I was told you were sent two checks. One before the one I sent fedex. I see that neither were cashed, so my sincere appologies, I was wrong. You also called us a scam, which we are not. Not liking us does not make us a scam.

  • Sean on June 20th, 2007

Karen - what country are you from? For some countries, we do not have as many advertisers, and therefor emails are sporadic.

  • No Sean. Not answering customers and then not sending payments and then sending checks that weren’t any good and lying about me and not being truthful when I originally called you and not supplying contact info, and I don’t mean an email address, is all part of what makes you a scam. Legitimate businesses aren’t handled or run this way. I certainly appreciate and accept your apologies, but WHY WOULD YOU LIE IN THE FIRST PLACE? The whole purpose of me getting that check is to verify that you are not a scam. Now you want to Paypal it to me? Sorry, but send me the check and then I will apologize myself and say that you are not a scam as long as everything turns out ok.

  • Sean on June 21st, 2007

John, reason I said paypal is because we are still waiting on new checks from our bank. If you would like a bank draft sent, please let me know.

Like I said before, the check problem was not our fault, and we have a letter from our bank to prove it. We have also offered to cover everybodies check fees, and an extra $10. What more can we do?

  • Again you act as though I’m stupid. You just previously stated that you started using this new account March 1,2007 YET YOUR NOW WAITING ON NEW CHECKS FROM YOUR BANK? I think the more you talk the more crap you have to try and get out of. Please don’t post another pathetic response,ESPECIALLY ONE SAYING YOU RAN OUT OF CHECKS ALREADY AFTER 3 MONTHS. If you look you’ll notice I did not even start this post. There were 3 posts before mine and this is nothing compared to the number of posts I found on other sites. You have been caught in lie after lie and then turn around and try to call me a scammer? Tell you what… forget the check…forget about me….again don’t post anymore stupid responses as you are insulting my intelligence with every bullcrap story and excuse you can come up with. DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO AND I WILL DO WHAT I NEED TO DO. A bit of advice, learn how to run a business before getting involved in one. Especially one where you promise to pay your members and the only support you have is thru email. PATHETIC.

  • Larry on June 21st, 2007

    Hi John,

As you know, I too recieved horrible support and response to MANY attempts to contact SnapDollars. I did, however, finally recieve a check which I cashed and it was good. (that was over a month ago) Now, I’m sure the fact that I went to greater measures than most are willing to to rattle Sean’s cage may have had something to do with why I was paid, or maybe not..maybe there was a situation with Sean’s bank…I don’t know and probably never will. However, Sean is being man enough now to step up and try as much as he can to make it right, at least with you. I don’t know his motives. It could be just to shut you up or it could be he really does want to do the right thing. I have owned my own business for many years and I know that sometimes things do go haywire. People who have never been there don’t understand how quickly things can get out of hand when you grow too fast. I’m really giving Sean the benefit of the doubt here, but what I’m saying is maybe that’s the situation and maybe he’s made mistakes, but maybe, just maybe, he’s turning a corner here and trying awful hard to do the right thing. I ask you this, what more do you want from him? It sounds to me like you don’t want resolution. It sounds like you thrive on the controversy and every time you are offered a solution you turn it down and flip to some other problem. I don’t know what you do for a living John, but it almost sounds like you don’t work at all if you have all this time to build all of this drama and report companies to the A.G and sue people. Don’t mean to crash your party, but I’m just being honest. Give it up already.

  • Now you can’t even use your real name? OK, RAISE YOUR HAND IF YOU THINK LARRY IS SEAN.

  • Larry…\”I ask you this, what more do you want from him? It sounds to me like you donâ??t want resolution.\”…..All I want is for him to do what I was asking.I think thats called customer service. I have done nothing but try to resolve this since my first(of many)emails…. \”It sounds like you thrive on the controversy and every time you are offered a solution you turn it down and flip to some other problem.\” I don\’t flip to another problem. The problem has always been the same and that is proving that he is a real business so I don\’t end up with a rubber check. Every request I have made has been reasonable, and always there has been a different offer from Sean. I am sorry if you find that controversial…..\” I donâ??t know what you do for a living John, but it almost sounds like you donâ??t work at all if you have all this time to build all of this drama and report companies to the A.G and sue people.\” First of all, where does it say anything about me suing anyone? Larry, if you had taken any time to check me out you probably would have known that I don\’t work because I am physically disabled. I almost died from an unknown infection back in JUNE 2005! This is well documented on my website as well as on various blogs and postings on the internet. A website which includes my full contact info, including phone number. I WANT PEOPLE TO CONTACT ME. Isn\’t that what building a business is all about? And I don\’t deal in drama, I deal in facts. And since you asked, I was in the finance industry for 15 years, with over 10 of those in collections and 4 of those in a supervisory role. I had to deal with fraud and manipulated documents and have to find these people. AND I WAS THE BEST! They didn\’t call me the Terminator for nothing. I know what questions to ask. I know what things should look like. I know how to tell if something is wrong. Any request I have made of Sean has been more than reasonable and every time there has been something wrong. You were not even there for our phone conversations. You have not even seen all of my correspondence with Snap Dollars. Sure, I could post it if you liked. But it would take me too much time and you think Sean doesn\’t like me now….YIKES. Why would you question my motives? If you are happy now then that\’s your call. My requests have been fair and normal for any normal business. Please don\’t try to judge me…… \”Donâ??t mean to crash your party, but Iâ??m just being honest. Give it up already.\” Your not going to crash my party, I am just the type who stands up for myself when I know I am right and am sick of people taking advantage of and lying to other people. And when I am personally involved in something I feel I owe it to everyone involved, as everyone should, to be sure everyone is treated fairly and honestly. It\’s just that I have alot more knowledge than alot of people when it comes to fraud and scams so I know what to look for. And if you ask any of my friends, I am sure they would tell you I NEVER EVER GIVE UP!(probably part of the reason I am still alive as the experimental drug they gave me worked on only 1 out of every 16 people). Anyway, I apologize to Sean about my last comment. Sorry, guess I got carried away trying to be funny. Larry, if you want to take the responsibility for telling everyone Snap Dollars is OK, feel free.I, on the other hand, just don\’t trust the dude. Sean, I don\’t want your money. I would just like you to treat people honestly and get your members paid in a timely fashion. Maybe Larry could help with your support. As for me I will lay off your advertisers based on Larry\’s comments but know I do have the right to post my experience and my recommendations about Snap Dollars as well. I personally would just rather not deal with them at all. If you want to recommend them Larry that\’s your opinion. Me, I just see too many signs that tells me to stay away. Good luck to you guys and please take care of your problems,Sean. I would hate to have someone contact me for help in this matter again, I have better things to do. HASTA LA VISTA BABY.

  • Sean on June 21st, 2007

    John, Larry is not me.

He is right, we have grown fast, and as a result, problems have happened. I KNOW our support has been horrible, to say the least. I am doing what I can to fix it.

If anyone would like the letter from our bank, or would like to verify that we did indeed have a check problem that was their fault by calling them, email me sean AT snapdollars.com

We pay our members - bad support does not make us a scam - period.

If you would still like a paypal or bank draft, let me know.

  • Sean on June 21st, 2007

Larry, can you email me please? sean AT snapdollars.com

  • SEAN. NO. AGAIN not paying your members makes you a scam. AGAIN,if your paying ALL your members PROVE IT. It is not hard. You’ve been in business for over 2 years now and now all of a sudden your worried about support? Because you finally ran into some people with some balls? This is an issue that should have been taken care of a long time ago. Not just because now your afraid you ran into someone who could ruin you. As I stated previously, if you even bothered to read my last post. I don’t want your money. I will lay off for now to give you time to do what you need to do, but you ruined any reconciliation by totally making up a lie about me and saying I tried to scam you!!! Anyone that would just make something up like that just to try to make me look bad to everyone else totally proves the kind of character you have. WHICH IS NONE. I have always been honest with you and do not make ANY statements without having something to back them up. Please get your crap together and in the future be honest with people and get stuff done BEFORE people start complaining. Maybe Larry’s right. Maybe you can turn this thing around. I just kind of take offense to people who want to call me a liar to save their own lying ass. So good luck and please get this straightened out. I really do have better things to do.

  • Sean on June 21st, 2007

John, how exactly would you like us to prove it? Trust you with our bank statements showing approx. hundred + transactions coming out a month?

  • Sean. Now you are starting to irritate me. I just told you I would let you be and just get your act together and straighten things out. And you have to go and post another snide remark. I could have you audited and you could prove it to them if you like? The proof that you didn’t pay your members is right here on this post along with quite a few others on the web. Again, I was not the only one that had this issue. There are posts here saying it and various other websites with postings BY OTHER PEOPLE that say they never got paid. If you want to do a little work, like I had to do, to find these other places feel free. But I will not give you info that I had to work for. And just some other food for thought before I go. Does anyone else wonder what would have happened if I was never able to reach Sean? NO ONE EVEN KNEW WHO THE OWNER WAS UNTIL I FOUND OUT. He didn’t even want to admit he was the owner when I first got him on the phone AND EVEN AFTER OUR FIRST CONVERSATION. NO ONE EVEN HAD A PHONE NUMBER UNTIL I FOUND ONE. Which I have to tell you wasn’t easy. How long do you think your company would have blown people off had it not been for me? How many more emails would have gone unanswered and members not been paid? I said I would let you be and let you get your crap together. Post another remark like that and I assure you I will not be as gracious. Please use your brain before posting anymore nonsense.

  • John,
I have been waiting for a check from SnapDollars and decided to look them up, I feel it has taken too long for them to issue my check. I also feel their customer support is lacking, to say the least. I have not been paid for things I should have been paid for. I have inquired about each one and have received the same answer each time, ‘it takes up to 30 days for it to post to your account.’ That’s all they say, no concern, end of story..for them. I did wite support asking where I was in their lengthy process in sending me my check. Weeks later I was told it was sent and I should be receiving it soon. It states in my ‘Payment History’ it was paid on the 4th of July, when I click on ‘view payment details’ in ‘payment history’ it says under payment..’pending’. The response to my question to support was dated July 10th. My request for payment was submitted on May 19th. After reading the posts, I did write an e-mail to Sean, I am eagerly awaiting his reply. To you I say THANK YOU! We need more people like you to stand up when you know things don’t add up. Oh, and I was very surprised to see the posts ended on the 21st of June, I was hoping to see some kind of response from Sean. Again, thank you, I now have my eyes open, I will be following up on this if I don’t receive a ‘good check’.

  • Janet, thanks for post. Glad to see my info can at least help some people out. And yes, I found it funny too how the posts ended on June 21, but what could Sean really say to my last comment? Unlike Sean, I use my brain before I start spitting out stupid crap and lame excuses. I didn’t expect a response because truly, as I said, how could he even respond to that without looking even worse? Hey Sean buddy, where are ya? Your lucky I have better things to do or I would have had you shut down already!!! Snap Dollars is a joke. Sean…your a joke. Not even a month since my last post and already another complaint!! GLAD TO SEE YOUR STRAIGHTENING THINGS OUT BUDDY!!! Once a liar, always a liar. Good luck Janet, and let me know if I can be of any help.

  • Thanks John for your reply. I did receive an e-mail from Sean after writing him here is what he said:

“Please email if you do not receive your check within a couple more weeks.”

    -Sean

I’m not quite sure why I would have to wait a couple more weeks since the check was sent on the 4th.

What really bothers me about this is not only the problems it has caused, which I did write SnapDollars about, with no response, but seeing the way an owner of a company conducts himself. It is very disturbing. I think we all have a right to defend ourselves, but it should be a clear and direct statement concerning the business, anything more is far less than professional. I have never seen anything like this before. Anyone who owns a business knows you should always act professionally, no matter how much someone gets to you, state the facts, and leave it alone. Taking this approach in a public forum is not making Sean look good. When I saw his posts and found he was the owner of SnapDollars, my trust in them went right out the window. I have every intention of pursuing this matter as far as I need to. After signing up for one of SnapDollars offers, money was being taken from my accounts left and right. I finally got the BBB involved and was able to get some of the money back, but not all. I am still owed hundreds of dollars which was taken out over a long period of time, 14.99 here, 9.99 there. I wrote Snap Dollars about this and received no response. Thinking about it, I will copy and post what I wrote to SnapDollars, I have everything saved and you do not want to get involved with the following people. Here is a copy of my log on support at Snap Dollars:

    From: Janet Doud 15-Sep-2006 — 4:37 PM

I think you should be aware that Passport To Fun should be renamed Passport To a Nightmare. After signing up to Passport to Fun, I suddenly was charged by Great Escapes, after calling I was told I was enrolled in 24 Credit Plus, after canceling that, I was told I was also in their Savings Club. I have to contact them. The company in question is called Adaptive Marketing LL, based in Stanford, CT. They own all of these businesses and more. They have a very bad reputation, and have taken unauthorized funds from many people. I did receive one refund, but I am still finding out about other fraudulent activity. I thought you should know.

At that time I thought they were a legitimate business and would want to be aware of the problems with one of their clients. I received no response. Like I said, I am still owed hundreds of dollars, after signing up with that company via SnapDollars. Obviously, I have stopped signing up for any offers from SnapDollars, I only read the e-mail.

I anxiously await the arrival of my check, maybe Sean will even include things I was not credited for, but I highly doubt it. Receiving my check at this point, would be a miracle.

  • No Janet. A miracle would be actually getting a check YOU COULD CASH!!! See the previous posts here and I am sure you will see, Sean and Snap Dollars aren’t exactly known for writing good checks either. I am holding mine as evidence in the event we have enough people to start a lawsuit, which it seems to me there would be plenty of people to do such. Unfortunately I don’t have the time to handle anything that time consuming so the best thing to do is just spread the word around and eventually it will catch up with them. Good Luck Janet and feel free to contact me if you need any info to help you out.

  • Janet,

I did the Passport to Fun offer, as well, but at another site, and also in 2006. The Terms & Conditions clearly state that when you sign up for Passport to Fun, you also agree to signup for the other programs. I don’t think SnapDollars should be held responsible for that situation. It’s imperative that you read every bit of the terms/conditions when signing up for the offers. Also, it does take up to 30 days is many cases to get payment. I’ve been working with GPT’s for over 3 years now…and the time has varied for me from 1 week up to 6 weeks.

And I should add that I have been paid by SnapDollars. And no, I don’t work for them, nor did the owner ask me to come here. And it doesn’t appear to be the case with Larry up there, either. Perhaps some just take the time to notice the more positive perspective of things. Life is too short.

  • Beth Jensen on August 14th, 2007

    Hi everyone!
My names Beth and I’ve been with Snap Dollars for almost 15 months. In 15 months I made $37.56. Well my check came yesterday, August 13, 2007. But I am now too cautious to cash it! I can’t afford any fees, or returns as I was counting on this check to help a bit to put food on my table. You see without going into a whole lot of detail, my family is struggling from day to day, just trying to keep our roof over our head, and food in our mouths. My husband puts in 20 to 30 overtime hours a WEEK, driving 75 miles a day to commute to work. He has our only car, so I’m stuck at home. My options are limited due to our rural location. So I turned to the internet for help. Needing a job, any job….Where I could legitmately work. All I could find that wasn’t a pie in the sky, pay us $$$, were these type of jobs. I know I am not the only person in the same boat, and believe me I’ve tried everything. But WHY; if we are working for these particular type of companies, as EMPLOYEES, are we not being treated fairly? I’m NOT BY ANY MEANS putting people down,I’m just wondering what’s left on the net thats gonna really help you when your in need? And can people get a REAL job on the net? After all this, I can’t even SECURELY cash a $37 check to feed my family! I’m not saying its a scam, but can’t afford the chance that my check wouldn’t be cashed at my hubby’s bank. (Which is 50 miles from where we live) They didn’t think they could cash it cause its out of the country. I think A.)There need to be REAL internet jobs, with a REAL hourly wage, and DIRECT websites & applications! No middle man to pay, just go to work. and B.)IF sites like Snap are gonna be around, they need to give other options of payment , and maybe better pay, with maybe more job responsibilities.
Like I said earlier, now my family has to do without because of a $37 dollar check I can’t cash! I hope I have not offended anyone, just scared & a bit hurt.

  • Nice post Beth. Maybe I can clear some things up for you though. I wouldn’t call Snap Dollars or anything like it a “job”. The only jobs you are speaking about are hard to find and there are many scams out there that will take your money promising to get you one of these “jobs” then just sending you a list of companies. Anyone belonging to these types of websites such as Snap Dollars are not “employees”. These are all websites which promise you money for reading ads or completeing offers or whatever it may be. That would hardly be considered being employed. What your basically doing is just getting a very small amount for reading this advertisement which the company that sent it to you is getting paid for. There are mnay programs like this on the internet, but the problem is how many of them truly pay? Even the ones that do pay, for instance INBOX DOLLARS, take so long for you to build up enough to request payment that it is hardly worth it. I have been with them since 2005 and had enough in my account, $17, to purchase a gold membership less than a year later. Since becoming a Gold member I have 24 referrals in about a year and a half and still have not hit the $30.00 minimum payout. After many years of weeding through the scams and other unfulfilling business opportunites, I believe I know what it takes to make some money online, but it will TAKE TIME. I have some reliable websites that won’t make you rich but can occasionally get you some gift cards and cash every few months. $20-$30 here or there, nothing big. But they do pay. Also I can tell you what I have found to be the best way to start making money on the internet, if your interested. Just email me if you want more info and sorry you misunderstood this internet thing for a job. Good luck.

  • Rebecca,
If I missed something in reading the terms and conditions when I signed up for Passport to Hell, then why didn’t I receive anything so I could use what I was being ripped off for? A card in the mail, some information, anything would have been helpful. I received nothing. The only way I found out? When I called complaining of one charge only to learn I was enrolled in so many others. The money they took totaled over $500 dollars, shouldn’t I be reaping some rewards for my payments? Hard to do when you receive nothing telling you what you are entitled to. I contacted the BBB and was credited about $300 on my credit card, they still owe me $200, which I know I will never see. Don’t you think there’s a problem when you are charged for a service and never get anything letting you know you have it to use, if you so desire? I do, and so did the BBB.

  • TO ALL…There are always going to be people who do actually get paid. That’s how these people stay in business. That is fine if you are getting paid by Snap Dollars, feel free to use your freedom of choice to deal with them. Just the facts in this post alone proves they are a not a company you want to be dealing with. I am not the only one to complain. There were posts here before mine as well as posts after, and this is only one website. There are other websites which I have been to with the same postings of not being paid and getting ripped off by Passport to Fun with multiple postings there as well. What about the websites I don’t know about? What about all the people, which is usually the majority of people, that do nothing and just give up after getting no responses from their support? What about all the people that are still waiting for an answer from support? If your getting paid by them and have been with them for a while, feel free to continue to receive your funds. Just hope that they continue to treat you well, because apparently that’s not the case for quite a few of us.

  • Oh yeah, and Rebecca, I’d have a positive perspective on things if I got paid too.

  • Beth Jensen on August 15th, 2007

    John,
Its me Beth above………Just wanted to say I’d be willing to talk with you! BUT I AM HIGHLY sceptical about these internet job things. Go ahead and e mail me, bethj97801 at yahoo. I hope I can do that here. Anyway at this point I don’t think beggers can be choosers, because I’m as poor as a church mouse! LOL…..Anyway, its time to be more up-beat. Thanks!
    Beth

  • Janet,
Have you contacted your credit card company? I went thru something similar last year with Boca Java. I signed up with up for “free” coffee, not knowing I signed up for a monthly membership fee. When I was charged a $20.00 “cancellation fee” I went ballistic. Boca Java REFUSED to rescind the fee. I called Capital One and they took off the $20.00.
So I was spared the $20.00, but it doesn’t make it right that Capital One got stuck with it.
as to all these programs - Inbox Dollars, Send Earnings, TikTik, they are all the same. At least with Creations Rewards, I’m making the points and getting a couple of $20.00 gift cards.
And I only spend an hour here and there on these things, ‘cos I know the “rewards” aren’t all that great.
oh, I’m not sure about Passport to Fun, but any of the programs from Trilegiant Corporation - Great Fun, Shoppers Advantage, Just For Me, Complete Home, Health Saver and Everyday Values, they’re pretty good.
You get a free 30 day membership, with $20.00 checks, $20.00 Home Depot or Wal-Mart cards. You just have to make sure you call and cancel before the 30 days are up.
I kept a big file on them. Whenever I got the membership packet in the mail, I noted the date, filled out the request for the incentive and mailed it off immediately. In 3 weeks, I called the 800 number and canceled the membership. (there was always a “problem” with my car - brakes or tire - or my furnace broke down, which prevented me from affording the $99.99 full membership. ha ha).
In 2 years, I got over $1000.00 in gift cards, savings bonds and cash, until they got pi$$ed off at me over the multiple memberships. ah well, it was fun while it lasted. And never in their literature did it say “one offer per household.”
so the fine print works both ways.
Good luck Janet, my hubby and I are struggling as well.
