Comment Policy

All comments on DoshDosh.com are moderated and the administrators have the right to edit, delete, and block any and all inappropriate or unnecessary comments on this blog, as they see fit. All visitors must abide by the following rules:

1. No irrelevant links in comment box: Links that are relevant to the specific article or topic discussed are welcome but links that are irrelevant to the topic will be deleted. For example, there is no point in leaving a link to your weight loss blog when the article in question is about Facebook (unless it is somehow pertinent to the discussion). Use the URL field for your website not the comment box.




2. No Affiliate Links. Affiliate links in the URL field and comment box will not be allowed. Your comment will be left alone if it is legitimate/relevant and doesn’t just promote the affiliate link. But all affiliate links will be removed without exception.




3. Offensive Comments. While profanity is allowed when used within context, excessive all out use of profanity is not encouraged. Offensive comments such as personal attacks, abusive behavior and hate speech will be deleted.




4. Off Topic Comments. Comments that are irrelevant to the actual article will not be published. They don’t add to the topic at hand and are a waste of space. A famous example: very short comments like ‘great post’, or ‘nice post’ which will usually be accompanied with a signature link.




5. Keywords in the Name Field. You can leave a keyword name or phrase as your name although I strongly encourage you to use your name instead. The quality and relevance of the actual comment will play an important role in determining if your keyword comment is published or not. I generally do not favor keyword comments but ultimately the actual content of the comment is most important.




6. Comments are your responsibility. By submitting a comment, you agree that you are responsible for your content and affirm that DoshDosh.com and all its administrators are free from any and all repercussions, damages, or liability. Your comments are your words, not mine so keep that in mind.

If your comment does not show up immediately, it may have been automatically flagged by the spam filter or it may have been placed in moderation. Sometimes it may take a while before I approve all the comments so wait a while more and check back.

Please note that your comment will not be deleted just because you share a different opinion. I honestly welcome criticism of any sort and do not avoid them by censoring comments. So feel free to comment but make sure that you abide by the rules listed above.
