Affiliate Marketing Community : Bumpzee

bumpzee.jpgI meant to write about Bumpzee earlier but somehow I didn’t get to do it until now. If you haven’t already heard, Bumpzee is something like a MyBlogLog for the affiliate marketing community, in that it displays a social widget which displays recent readers of your blog while allowing you to interact with them.

Bumpzee differs from MyBlogLog in that you’ll also have the option of voting or bumping specific blog entries from other bloggers or discussing them on Bumpzee’s website.

12 Quick Ways to Maximize your ReviewMe Affiliate Commission Earnings

ReviewMe has finally launched their affiliate program today, which means that you can start to make some money by promoting their sponsored blogging service. ReviewMe will pay you $25.00 for every new advertiser you refer to ReviewMe who purchases a blog review.

This is similar to Text Link Ads (aff), which also offers $25 for every referred publisher or advertiser. The only difference is that ReviewMe will only pay you for advertiser signups and not publisher signups.

Affiliate Marketing Tip: Use Unique Brand Names to Increase Conversion Rates.

nagato.jpgI was checking my Gmail account when I noticed an interesting ad near the top of the screen. It was from a recruitment team that was seeking to hire professionals with an interest in marketing guru, Seth Godin’s work.

The copy for the ad read:

If you Read Seth I Want U: If you are reading Seth Godin’s blog I want to hire you!

The main reason why I clicked on the ad was because I am a regular reader of Seth Godin’s blog. After clicking on the ad, I was taken to a webpage which immediately requested for my resume and credentials. Talk about super targeted Adwords traffic!

Promoting Affiliate Programs with Hub Pages

hubpage.jpgHubPages is a revenue sharing web community that allows you to create web pages (known as hubs) about specific topics. You can then earn money through Google Adsense or by promoting Amazon and eBay products. When anyone makes a purchase through your listed Amazon or eBay products, you’ll get commission from that sale.

Your Adsense id show ads for 60% of the time anyone views your hub. Ad revenue for the other 40% will go to HubPages.

What can I do with a Hub? Or why should I even bother?

Turning Commissions into Donations Update

haruhi1.jpgI recently declared in a previous post that I will be giving all the affiliate commissions I receive from promoting Pageflakes (aff) to charity. Pageflakes currently allows you to earn $1 for every person that signs up with their website through your affiliate link.

The goal of this experiment is two-fold: Firstly, to test Pageflakes’s affiliate program in order to confirm if it is legitimate or accurate with their data reporting.

Secondly, I thought it’ll be a creative way of getting everyone to contribute to a good cause - namely to support Mercy corps ’s effort in helping the recent massive flooding in Indonesia, which has made around 200,000 people homeless.

21 Ways to Increase your Text Link Ads Commissions

noyuuutsu0424.jpgMost of you would have already heard about Text Link Ads, a popular ad marketplace where publishers and advertisers can meet to sell or buy text links on websites or blogs. TLA’s affiliate program allows you earn US $25.00 for every publisher or advertiser that you refer to their website. In order to qualify for a payment, a publisher you refer must install an advertising script on their website for the minimum period of seven days.

Make Money with Pageflakes - An Experiment.

noyuuutsu0436.jpgI’m sure some of you would have heard of PageFlakes, an personalized start page that you can set to show up whenever you turn on your computer and open your internet browser. This page is customizable and you can use it to display your address book, to-do list, blog or news feeds, calendar and many other widget-like applications.

Why should you use a personalized start page?

Affiliate Blogging and The Art of Slow Cooking

110304_sr04_02.jpgI’ve been researching on how blogs can be used as a means to promote affiliate programs because I’m pretty interested in how blogs seem to have some natural potential for building stable and long-term relationships between the affiliate and the customer.

Blogs grow over time and their accumulated content is a gold-mine for search engines and the targeted traffic they bring. While contextual Ad networks like Adsense are effective, passive ways of earning money from a blog, I think affiliate programs are superior in many aspects, particularly in terms of long-term profit.
