I’ve been writing about Get Paid to Websites ever since I’ve started Dosh Dosh, although I’ve stopped tracking the industry for some time, because I’ve developed a greater interest in internet marketing and the building of websites for profit.

New Get Paid To websites are frequently set up by entrepreneurs interested in making some money. While the barrier of entry is low, the GPT industry is already saturated and heavy on competition.

However, some of the early pioneers in the get paid to industry like Cashcrate and CashonTap are still around and their member base has grown considerably. Other less fortunate sites were not sustainable and shut down soon after their birth.

One of the best ways to establish yourself against a top business in your niche is to compare and demonstrate how your company is in effect an underdog that is better than the industry leader.

New social video website Megavideo has taken that strategy by launching with a comparative branding scheme. Calling itself a video sharing website that ‘beats youtube‘, Megavideo is targeting current YouTube users and potential adopters of other video sites.

thisisby.us is a website that allows you to make money by writing and submitting your articles within a community. Some articles on the website were recently on the Reddit frontpage, which is where I first came to know of them.

Operating via a revenue-share model, thisisby.us will give a portion of whatever revenue they earn to the writers, commenters and affiliates who refer new users to their website.

Some sort of a social writing community, thisisby.us covers a variety of topics such as news, humor, politics, business and technology. Content is ranked by reader votes and page views and the top articles are displayed on the site’s frontpage.

Jyve is a new website which allows you to earn money by offering advice and consultation services online. Like Bitwine and Ether, you’ll interact using Skype or online IM chat with other users who need answers for specific questions.

Jyve takes 20% of the setup fee and lets you decide the amount you want to charge for a consultation session. You can also create professional listings that highlight your expertise in a specific field. These profiles will be listed in Jyve’s online directory.

Social network Dada.net as recently launched an invitation only Adsense revenue sharing program thats currently open to users in the US and Italy. You’ll get to make some money whenever someone clicks or views the Adsense ads on your Dada website. Anyone else think this is a waste of time?

I’ve never ever made any significant money from Adsense revenue sharing websites, and I’m pretty much unconvinced when I hear the monetary benefits they promise. Word is out that there’s a new Pay-to-Search website in town. SlashMySearch is a website which allows you to earn money by using their search engine to surf the net. There’s been a plethora of search engines that offer similar rewards to users. Some of them include the now defunct Kazook, Zotspot, Blingo and Winzy.

I’ve been covering get paid-to-search websites for a few months and I think it’s about time to review pay-to-search websites as a means to make money online.

HubPages is a revenue sharing web community that allows you to create web pages (known as hubs) about specific topics. You can then earn money through Google Adsense or by promoting Amazon and eBay products. When anyone makes a purchase through your listed Amazon or eBay products, you’ll get commission from that sale.

Your Adsense id show ads for 60% of the time anyone views your hub. Ad revenue for the other 40% will go to HubPages.
