Adsense Alternatives - Other Contextual Ads

adsense.jpgRobin Good has written a nice article on some other contextual advertising programs, apart from Adsense. There’s a whole bunch of advertising networks I haven’t experimented with, some of which include AdSonar, Mirago, Target Point and Q-ads.

The good news is, they don’t necessarily have to be alternatives, now that Google has allowed other contextual ads to be run alongside Adsense.

I’m not currently optimizing Adsense for Dosh Dosh, so I may run some monetization and placement tests for these programs. Anyone used these Adsense Alternatives before?

In maximizing the earning potential of your blog or website it makes sense not to rely too heavily on one single ad-supplier, for a number of reasons. For one, if your account is blocked for whatever reason you could suddenly find your substantial blog income drop down to zero overnight.

  • Wow, I had no idea there were that many out there and I’ve been building sites for 5+ years now. I will say that I hate IntelliTXT on websites, it is super annoying and I’ve never once thought to click an ad because the word car was double underlined. It is annoying and I’m not fond of reading blogs or forums that use it.

  • It is really important to have other options rather than only AdSense. This way bloggers will not totally depend upon only one ad service.

It’s difficult to find other tools that provide Brazilian Portuguese ads. There are only two or three services available on Brazil.

  • I use Adbrite, they are nice enough and I receive my check monthly ;)
