A Definitive List of Paid Blogging Websites

paid-blogging.jpgOne of the easiest ways to make money online is to set up a blog around a specific topic of interest and generate online income from the display of advertising/affiliate programs, product sales or the provision of online services.

One formidable way of making money from blogs consists of effectively using paid blogging networks.

From an advertiser’s standpoint, blogs are simply publishing platforms which produce content that is viewable by both search engines and potential customers.

Advertisers want more exposure for their businesses and will often purchase sponsored links or written content in a bid to generate public buzz and increase their search engine visibility.

Here is where you come in. As a member of paid blogging websites, you will get paid to blog about the advertiser’s products, website or service. These advertisers will pay the blog networks directly and you’ll receive a stipulated fee when you agree to take on each specific assignment.

How do I Make Money with Sponsored Blogging websites?

The process is actually fairly simple. Start by signing up with these sponsored blogging networks and giving them the web address for your blog. Some of these networks stipulate that your blog must have of a certain age (3 months old etc.) so take note of that before applying.

Take a look at their Terms of Service and wait for your blog to be approved by the administration. This usually takes a few days. After your blog is approved, go through their marketplace (if they have one) or just wait for blogging offers to arrive at your email inbox or site dashboard.

When you decide to take up a specific offer, write a blog post according to the instructions given. Publish the post and inform the blog network of the page URL. This is usually done through a user interface after you’ve logged into the network.

After your post is approved, you’ll receive payment according to the stipulated time frame. You can earn around $5 to $500+ for one single blog post, depending on the popularity, size and niche of your blog.

Dosh Dosh’s List of 17 Sponsored Blogging Networks

Some of these networks should be well known to everyone but I’ll wanted to be as thorough as possible when developing this extensive list of paid blogging websites.

This list will be updated regularly and more paid blogging websites will be added in the future. Hopefully this will help all of you to make more money from your blogs.

1. PayPerPost

payperpost-screenshot.jpg

The largest sponsored blogging network, Payperpost offers the greatest amount of offers and has a vibrant community of bloggers who support each other through a forum. If you only want to sign up for one paid blogging network, I would highly recommend using PayPerPost above all the others.

The addition of PayperPost Direct and existing affiliate programs will extend your income potential outside of the basic marketplace structure utilized by most other networks.

2. ReviewMe

reviewme-screen.jpg

ReviewMe is basically some sort of a blog marketplace where advertisers can visit to order reviews from blogs. Some of the more ‘high-end’ or popular blogs are registered with ReviewMe and the earnings are substantially higher if your blog is well established and has a large audience. This is measured by your feed subscription base as well as the Technorati and Alexa Rank.

Bigger blogs tend to earn upwards of $100 to 700+ for each single blog post and there are a lot less restrictions and rules than Payperpost. The downside for ReviewMe is that they take a hefty 50% commission for their services, which in my opinion is too large.

3. SponsoredReview

sponsoredreviews.jpg

SponsoredReview is a blog network that is somewhat similar to ReviewMe but they offer a little more functionality by allowing you to negotiate fees with the advertiser and bid for an advertiser’s offers.

SponsoredReview takes 35% commission for their services and you’ll earn anything from $10 to 500+ for each review. Their user interface is one of the better ones out there and the only drawback to their service is the lack of advertisers.

4. Blogsvertise

blogsvertise.jpg

Blogsvertise doesn’t have a marketplace so you can’t browse advertiser offers to select what you would like to write about. The site admins will match advertiser offers to your blog profile and you can choose to accept or reject the offers you see.

Generally, the assignments are sporadic and you’ll receive one or two of them every week if you’re lucky. They do however pay on time so that’s one of the benefits of working with Blogsvertise.

5. Blogitive

blogitive.jpg

Blogitive will pay all bloggers a flat rate of US $5 per advertiser offer, regardless of the size or popularity of the blog. One of the earliest blog networks on the scene, Blogitive seems to be gotten into a slump a few months after their launch.

They’ve recently revamped their user interface and one of the much touted Blogitive advantages is that they pay weekly via Paypal. Blogitive has a very poor collection of advertisers and that’s something that they definitely need to improve.

6. LoudLaunch

loudlaunch.jpg

LoudLaunch is a medium sized paid blogging network which features a moderate amount of advertiser offers. Your blogs need to be more than 2 months old and payment is only made via Paypal. Like Payperpost, the blogger usually needs to append a disclosure badge, tracker tag or logo or the bottom of posts.

The user interface doesn’t appeal to me and like other networks like Blogsvertise, the range of advertisers seem to be rather limited.

7. BloggerWave

bloggerwave.jpg

Based on Norway, BloggerWave’s rates for paid posts are generally around $10 for a single post. There doesn’t seem to be many restrictions and you’ll get paid via Paypal. BloggerWave has been late on payment for many bloggers and some bloggers have gone so far to suggest that they are a scam.

Apparently, they seem to have made good on their payments recently and hopefully things should go smoothly from now on for bloggers using BloggerWave.

8. Smorty

smorty.jpg

Smorty rates for sponsored blog posts is $6 per post although this might increase if you have a high traffic or popular blog. Post approvals are generally made within a week and payment is made on a weekly basis through Paypal. There isn’t a lot of advertisers using Smorty at the moment though that might change in the future.

9. PayU2Blog

payu2blog1.jpg

PayU2Blog started a few months ago and do seem to be a work in progress. There is no actual marketplace which allows you to browse for advertiser offers and they do seem to function very much like Blogsvertise in that that’ll determine the type of assignments you will receive. Payment is made every two weeks via Paypal.

10. Blogging Ads

blogging-ads.jpg

Blogging Ads started early and recently relaunched with a new look. It’s nothing too different from Blogitive, however do note that you can only put up 10 posts per month on all your blogs and the rate for each post is usually $5. Payment is made weekly via Paypal. Blogging Ads doesn’t have a lot of advertiser offers as well.

11. Creamaid

creamaid.jpg

CreamAid is a get paid to blog program with a twist. All bloggers of an option of displaying a widget which allows them to earn referral commission whenever another blogger picks up an offer from it.

CreamAid is more fun than the other get paid to blog websites although I think their monetary potential is weakest. Don’t expect to earn more than $5 for most offers you come across.

12. V7N Contextual

v7n-contextual.jpg

V7N Contextual is not technically a get paid to blog network because most of the time you won’t have to write a blog post. All you’ll have to do is to transform any specific keyword (eg. golf clubs) in your blog posts into a link to the advertiser’s website. All bloggers will earn $10 per link, regardless of their blog size and reach.

An important point to note is that you’ll have to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which means that you can’t disclose that it was a sponsored link. I have blogs in the V7N program and have not received many offers before. Don’t count on getting too many assignments.

13. LinkWorth

linkworth.jpg

LinkWorth is a search engine marketing company that offers a variety of monetization options for bloggers. For instance, bloggers can sell contextual links within posts or write sponsored posts on specific topics.

Other interesting methods include rotating ads, in content ppc advertising as well as packaged link ads. LinkWorth gives up to 70% of the revenue for its ads and payments are made monthly through Paypal, check, direct deposit or Wire.

14. BlogtoProfit

blogtoprofit.jpg

BlogtoProfit allows you to get paid to write blog posts about each sponsor’s products/websites. This company doesn’t have a user interface or dashboard and there is no marketplace which allows you to pick or choose the offers you want. I’ve tried submitting some blogs to them before but have never gotten response from them at all. It is possible that they are not active anymore.

15. LinkyLoveArmy

linkylovearmy.jpg

LinkyLoveArmy appears to be a get paid to blog network but their website doesn’t make what they do very clear. The design is fairly cluttered and there’s no apparent FAQ or guide for bloggers who want to sign up. This appears to be a fairly small DIY setup so I wouldn’t expect too many advertiser offers from the onset.

16. InBlogAds

inblogads.jpg

InBlogAds is a hybrid network that allows you to sell text links as well as blog posts. InBlogAds started quite a while back but seems to have died. I’ve not seen any new offers available and I think they are definitely outclassed by all the other get paid to blog networks.

Although they were one of the first to integrate an advertiser and publisher account within the same dashboard, they’ve definitely fallen behind and dropped out of the race for bloggers and advertisers.

17. Dewitts Media

dewitts-media.jpg

Dewitt Media is a search marketing and website design company that’s recently launched a contextual links program. Blogs need to have a minimum Google Page Rank of 3 before they will be accepted. Rates are set at $10 per post.

Like V7N, Dewitt Media requires you to sign a NDA or Non Disclosure agreement, which forbids you from disclosing that any specific link or blog post was sponsored. There is currently no marketplace with advertiser offers though a forum might be forthcoming.

Conclusion

As I’ve mentioned in my article on how to make money blogging, paid posts are a reliable method of earning a considerable amount of money from your blog.

You don’t need a large number of daily visitors at all, although one should always keep in mind that your potential for profit increases as your blog becomes bigger and more well known.

Here’s my advice if you’re really interested in using blogs to make money: Keep a couple of blogs for paid blogging and strive to create a flagship blog that has a large audience and great reputation.

Remember that an established and popular blog usually means more monetization options and far greater money in the long run. For more tips on effective ways to make money blogging, do subscribe to Dosh Dosh’s blog feed.

  • Great list and good succinct commentary. Don’t forget, though, that there are sites that will just plain pay you to write - and don’t ask you to clutter up your blog with stuff you don’t really feel like writing about (see: Associated Content … less profitable but still out there: Triond).

  • Maki,
very good list and useful too. I have joined few of them like smorty, blogsvertise and sponsored reviews. My blog is just 28 days old, so it does not qualify for Payperpost and reviewme. The other sites are worth giving a try. Thanks.

  • Maki,

Awesome post, as always, trying to figure out a way to just auto-fave every post you put up!

One question - I wonder if as a blogger, your credibility among other bloggers might take a hit over time if you become widely known for your paid versus organic commentary?

    Much peace,

    Jonathan Fields

  • Great list, Maki. What about Helium? I’ve always seen ads for it on my blog (through AdSense), but I’ve never really given much thought to joining, much less seeing what it’s all about. Just curoius to see if you know anything about them.

  • Maki on June 27th, 2007

    WebUrbanist,

Thanks and yes, there are dozens of get paid to write or Revenue sharing websites out there. Useful if you don’t own a blog but they can’t really beat paid blogging when it comes to the sheer amount of money you can earn with the time you spend. ^_^

    Jonathan,

I think if you’re doing more an equal or greater amount of paid to normal blog posts, your credibility will definitely take a hit. I think we’ve already seen that with some bloggers who aggressively push paid posts. If you have a blog that nobody reads, you can write as many paid posts as you want .. but if you’re trying to build a big blog and an authority rep, excessive paid posting will definitely harm your growth.

    Derrich,

Helium is a revenue sharing website which pays writers who contribute articles to their website. The more well read your articles, the larger your share of the revenue. Completely a waste of time if you ask me. You’ll be way better off writing a couple of paid posts everyday, if you really want to make some extra cash. :)

  • Great list!
I have always loved reading your blog.

The problem with those websites you’ve mentioned is that most of them only offer Paypal as a mode of payment. Thus, making the opportunity limited to countries where paypal is available. In the Philippines, for example, there is paypal but we can only send money through it but cannot receive money with it. So, while the offer is good (dollar has a high value in the Philippines), we Filipinos cannot avail of mostly of these programs.
    :(

  • Hi
Thanks for the list.I spent weeks making a list of blogging sites and now I accidentally found your site.

Great work and thanks once again.

  • I’ve tried out Dewitts and I can’t say I am comfortable with it. I got one opp, that was all. So, I requested to remove their link from my blog and the reply I got was they were just about to send me some opps. I asked them about the couple of weeks silence and was told that they had sent me some offers which I did not respond. Yeah, right! I checked my spam daily and there were definitely nothing! Speaks a lot about professionalism.

  • Steve on June 27th, 2007

What a great list! (Insert applause) I typically see different blogs promoting the services they prefer but you’re the first one I’ve seen list all you could find and give a quick description of each.

I think in the paid to blog bubble, payperpost is attractive because of the direct option. You can’t beat 90% payout. If you had your own merchant account, you wouldn’t get a lot more than that. I just don’t like the fact money is so limited. I like the thought of doing half the work for the same amount of money.

My recommendation is Linkworth.com. (your #13). What I like about them is there are so many different products to offer and monetize your site. Also, I’m not limited to a nest of $5 jobs or limited to a nest of $500 jobs. They have such a nice variety of earning potential and products to offer on my blog it works great.

The most confusing one to me is creamaid. I’ve tried to spend some time on that site but I wind up clicking away with a spaced look on my face almost staring through the computer screen.

    Thanks again.

  • A really greta rundown, thanks. The common thread in all of these ventures always seems to be the lack of inventory … thye get the interface between blogger and themselves set up more or less ok, but they have no advertisers to write about … a slick-looking Nike mall store all full of empty shoe boxes.

That’s why AdSense still has an advantage for those of us who don’t blog about blogs and how to make money on blogs … aside from those niches there are precious few advertiser’s out there … but put AdSense on a blog about machining metal or breeding cows or restoring John Deere trcators and _bang_ instant advertisers.

  • hey this list is great! now i can monetize my site :)

  • I have another longer list. but some of the network we signup and we never heard from them again. no email, no confirmation. Well, we intend to do all the review about them ( wait until we got the time ). But some of the reader here got recommendation, superb!

  • Maki,
I guess this is a complety coincidency, but I wrote a very similar list a few days ago, although in spanish in bloggerprofesional.com. Just knowing how the blogosfere reacts today when content is too similar, I thought it was wise to share that both posts are not related! ;-)

    http://bloggerprofesional.com/.....ar-dinero/

  • A good list, yet PPP is the only one that really makes easy money on a consistent basis.

  • Doshy Nice post! Worth of money :)

Btw have you seen reviewback ? I wrote about it today. Check it out if you like. Might give you more ideas to write .

  • Hi um sponsored reviews takes a 35% comission not a 65%

Smorty has given me some 25 dollar ones! so its not too bad.

  • yeah nice review maki, i thinks you have covered most of the get paid to blog networks. even i have now decided to signup a few (new).

  • Maki on June 27th, 2007

    Amanda

Thanks for pointing that out, I’ll make the changes in the article.

    David Gonzalez,

You have a pretty neat list yourself. It’s the first time I’ve heard about Zync. Is it a Spanish paid blogging network thats only open to spanish language blogs?

    David Starr,

Yes.. the lack of advertisers is the main problem. As Kumiko mentioned, Payperpost is really the only one that is the most reliable.. if you’re trying to make money from paid blogging. ^_^

  • That’s a great list to help bloggers make some extra money. Going to spend time this weekend and sign up a couple of accounts to see if the money will start rolling in!

If would be great if people leaving comments also leave a brief note on their experience. Thanks.

  • Fantastic post! The hits just keep on comming. I learn more and more everyday from your site.

  • Very impressive post. I have written 2 posts at get paid to review sites. Anybody interested can check those links.

    Make money—

    Earn more—

My experience with these sites is very positive. I have made the most money with Smorty. And I am happy that they pay you on time. I could get review upto $24.oo at Smorty. Second comes “Loud Launch”, where my blog is getting $15 per review. But as every topic cannot be selected, I have to choose few ones. But there are a lot of review opportunities.

I have just joined PayPerPost, but can estimate that among all it have a unique place, and may be I can make good money from this site.

These review sites are giving new bloggers, an encourgement touch and outcome of their efforts in the form of money. It is very satisfying, as samll bloggers like me, can proudly say “yes we are doing something”

    Thanks to all these sites.

  • Thanks for that great list and reviews!

  • Great reviews! Which one of these services do you recommend to the casual blogger? I was thinking that there might be a split on “professional” bloggers vs. folks that post every once in a while.

  • wow - I didnt even know half of these exists!

  • Great list! I didn’t know about half of these… so this was definitely informative.

  • great article, very helpful!

    [nobuli.com]

  • Dugg and Stumbled Maki!

    An excellent list.

  • great article and great list. Visit my webbsite if you want AGLOCO’s suporters.

  • Thanks for such an informative post. I’ve just registered with some of them and Smorty have already approved me.. Yippy…

    Thanks again :)

  • I found it hilarious since i put up my post and then i noticed doshdosh.com’s post and i guess everyone thinks along the same lines sometimes!~

  • Wow! Great list.. This show that blogging can make money. There many program we can join.

  • Thanks a lot!!!!!!

  • Great list, regarding our services to advertisers and bloggers and the layout of the site.

It has grow disorganized over the last couple months. We are working to improve that significantly. However, the market grows more and more crowded every month.

We are hoping to maintain a symbiotic relationship with the other paid to blog services, but at the same time we have an important niche to nurture as well.

I for one would not categorize the LinkyLoveArmy as a Paid to Blog site, but more as a site that enables bloggers to earn revenue from blogging better. There really isn’t a short 3 word catch phrase that encapsulates our business. ;)

  • Great list! We don´t need to look anywhere else for all the information we need :-)

  • Thank you for that incredible list! I never really knew the earning potential of blogs. wow. New guy, obviously. But yes, i need to build my blog up in the community first. Thanks again.

  • Thanks a lot for sharing this valuable information. It is a great resource!

    All the best,
    Francois du Toit

  • Awesome write up!!!

  • GREAT POST!

blog2profit is based in Southern Philippines. My last 5 entries with them remained unpaid. I have to check and see if they respond to my post. but they don’t seem to be as active as the ones that you posted. i don’t know if there is something happening with them negatively.

  • This is an awesome list! I just recently started looking into this type of opportunity, so I think you for the information. I’m bookmarking this and I know that I’ll refer to it again.

  • Regarding the potential copying, get real. This information is in the hands of at least 5,000 bloggers. I’ve had this stuff on my own website since August of last year (adding each new company as they come up).

There is nothing new or unique in this list, its just a convenient list, one of about 500 similar lists.

Your complaint does provide an interesting example of creating a linkbait off of a linkbait off of a linkbait. Just find a linkbait and write it up yourself. Then wait for someone else to write the linkbait all over again and call out the second linkbait writer as a copycat and generate controversy to haul people into your site. :)

You got to love the blogosphere if you are going to live here everyday!

  • Fab list for any budding blogger…

  • jake on July 1st, 2007

I agree with other comments the problem with these websites is they only offer paypal as the method of payment.

  • This is a great post! Thanks to Reyna Elena who specifically told me to come here… :)

Reynz, b2p in the Phils is not the mother of b2p…they’ve only setup the Phil. branch because of the paypal issue. I’ve had 3 sets of payments from them, all paid. It may be cheaper because it’s in pesos, but at least I receive it via Western Union. :)

  • I hit a jackpot! :)
Thanks Maki. Stumbled and bookmarked it :)

  • very comprehensive list. thanks! i hope this makes a few mums and pops a bit of dosh dosh.

  • Thanks for that cool list!

  • I’ve only tried out Payperpost, and it is working like a charm - really worthwhile!

Thank you for sharing the other sites - I’ll definitely go round there and check them out!

  • ~ Swan on July 5th, 2007

Like others, I can’t believe that all these exist! I’ve been searching for home opportunities to make money for YEARS and still didn’t come up with any of these!

Thank you so much Maki for your informed and well done list! I’ll forever be grateful!

  • What a great list. There were actually some on there that I had not heard of. Thank you very much for posting this list! I love your blog.

  • Excellent list and great overall site for bloggers. I just signed up with Payperpost and Reviewme. I interested to see how they work and how much my blog, Your Feet Make You Uniquecan earn. Thanks again for the list of paid blogging sites.

Please Send Me A Strong list of Paid Link Web Site

  • Send me good blogging earning sites!

    Thanks.

  • Take a look here…STOLEN POST!

    http://www.soldiweb.net/guadag.....on-i-blog/

  • Thanks, great list.

This post inspired me to start paid blogging. I’ve just posted my first paid blogging post.

  • Vow..Great list.
Hope i will earn some more money online after using these services.

  • You forgot Rewarding Reviews

  • I have used Pay Per Post for a while myself, but lately their service has gone downhill bigtime. Few new opportunities appear, and you need a high pagerank for almost all of them. The few that don’t require a high pagerank are all taken within seconds. Unless you have a blog that has 1000 visitors a day and a pagerank of at least 6, and you have nothing better to do all day than refresh the list of opportunities so you can take any new one as soon as it appears, I would stay clear of it. When I started a few months ago, I could easily take about 3 posts a week with my PR3 blog, but this has become impossible.

  • Thanks DoshDosh.com for blogging tips on earning extra money..

  • I agree with everything on the list. But I recommend Sponsored Reviews more because they pay you a lot faster than the others listed

  • Thanks for sharing this infos, nice to see that

  • With so many sites active it makes one wonder, how many will survive? Do any of these sites have a method of protecting a blogger’s earnings if they land in financial trouble?

  • Great Question Kalpesh.

The answer is that none of the companies above have any means of protecting bloggers earnings in place.

That’s not terribly surprising as most companies do not have any means of protecting their employees earnings either. If a company goes bankrupt, its just bankrupt.

There is no escrow service or anything like that for what is essentially a form of ‘micro-contracting.’

Therefore, the best protection that a blogger can utilize (if they are worried and thousands are not) is to work with companies that pay as rapidly after completing piece work as possible.

But even then, PayPal does not protect payments you receive from these companies either.

Therefore, lets say that any one of the companies went bankrupt tomorrow (its a new industry, less than a year old and that is definitely possible if you look at the percentages of new companies that survive 5 years). If pay a blogger to blog company XYZ went bankrupt on Aug 3, the bankruptcy courts could freeze all future payments immediately to bloggers. Plus, the bankruptcy courts could force the reversal of all payments made 90 days prior to the bankruptcy (if the company has a creditor that gets in line or has a stronger claim that a blogger or a collective of bloggers, which would be very likely since most of us bloggers are not going to lawyer up to protect ourselves from losing a few hundred to a few thousand dollars as the cost of the lawyer and the bankruptcy filings would be much more expensive, unless you happen to be a bankruptcy lawyer or a credit officer experienced in this area.

So to put it simply bloggers are completely at risk. As a blogger, I experienced a situation where one of the companies in the list above had their payment to me reversed by Paypal, which helped illustrate the point. The company later made good on the payment, but PayPal is definitely a week link in this industry.

PayPal protects ebay transactions, but they do not protect contract payment transactions. Ebay owns paypal.

  • Thanks a lot. Trying myself now, will believe it’s true once I get my first pay packet :D

  • Thanks for including us on this list.

We are always looking for quality blogs with passionate bloggers. Visit us and sign up today. Blog advertisers are always welcome.

  • Great reviews of so many blogging payments!

  • What a great overview Maki. It would have been nice if you had added the specific requirements to each of them (like blog minimum age, PR requirements etc.). Even if there weren’t any it would be great info.

  • Awesome list! Even though its an old post, its exactly what I was looking for.
To help those that have blogs that arent that old and cant get into payperpost, there are other options available, like simple blog or forum paid posting network sites. Where the cash goes privately between hirer and blogger. One such example is paidposting.org and Im sure there are others.
Payperpost and the like seem to have most of the market share, but some of these other smaller community sites can help during the short time you cant get into their program.

  • Thanks for sharing this detailed list of blogging opportunities. I decided just several days ago to give it a try upon hearing success stories of other blog friends.
