Today is Blog Action Day, an initiative which encourages bloggers all around the world to write a blog post on this very day about anything concerning the environment.

The main aim of this collective project is to generate awareness on the importance of environmental responsibility, while emphasizing the fact that each individual can play their part to help conserve resources, prevent pollution and minimize damage to our climate.

Lots of great articles and news in the past two weeks. I’ve been doing more reading and it has helped me to develop some ideas for my sites. Sometimes, learning is just as important as doing.

I love the Arcade Fire, a Canadian indie rock band. They recently released a pretty cool website which is really an interactive music video of some sort for a song on their Neon Bible album.

You want links and traffic from some of the bigger bloggers in your niche. You desperately want to promote your content or business because you think you deserve a bigger audience. Perhaps you want to make money online and need all the referral traffic you can get to develop the critical mass needed for success.

The problem is you can’t seem to get anyone to drop you a link. The bloggers ignore your email pitches and don’t write back.

Maybe they are too busy and your content or proposition isn’t that great in the first place, or at least that’s what you tell yourself.

What’s one of the easiest ways to generate buzz and consistently get massive amounts of traffic from social media websites?

The answer is simple: Control distribution of your content by leveraging the clout of popular and powerful individuals within the social media community. In other words, influence the influencers.

When these prominent individuals talk, others will listen. They are respected or liked by others in the same community. They have the ability easily initiate and popularize discussions on a specific topic.

I recently asked you to tell me what is the best way to make money online and you’ve all responded admirably by offering some really valuable advice from your own experiences. I applaud your efforts and am grateful for your participation.

A serious beginner needs to wade through an incredible amount of information before he/she knows what works and what doesn’t.

Critically acclaimed British rock band Radiohead has just announced the release of their seventh album, In Rainbows. I am a huge Radiohead fan but what I really wanna talk about is the remarkable way they are launching their new record.

Radiohead is offering the entire album in through their website and fans can pay whatever amount they want to digitally download it.

This donation-style system is significant because of Radiohead’s reputation and the size of their fanbase, which easily reaches into the millions globally.
